If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GV60 Canadian Deposit - Local Dealer Information & Timelines

I would be concerned if they actually brought the GV60 here without HDA2. Even the Ioniq 5 in Canada ships with HDA2, and the GV60 2022MY being sold in South Korea also comes with HDA2. If they were to downgrade some key tech features from the Korean model or just launch without it in Canada I don't see myself going through with the order.
I was browsing through Youtube and some Youtuber reported that Ioniq5 late shipment got downgrade to HDA1. I didn't fact check and did you guy heard anything about it. Maybe they want to push the price down by removing features, and more features.

No HDA2 and I am probably switching to an Audi Q4 Sportback 50 e-tron Quattro, same battery, known price fully loaded at $74,900.00.
Just as nice real leather interior. Slower charging rate at 125 KW but in Ontario It is hard to find a charging station higher than 50KWH DC fast charging except Tesla and Petro Canada supercharges.

Tick a couple option boxes, and there isn't much to be saved on an Audi. I also suspect the cost of ownership would be substantially greater with the German. For me, it's between the GV60, EV6, or wait and see what else comes onto the market in the next year or so. If there were a Polestar location nearer to me, I might go in that direction.

New member here. Placed a deposit on February 23rd (Advanced, Barossa Burgundy / Ash Gray & Glacier White. Was told today by my local dealer in Calgary that their demo is currently at sea and is expected to arrive either the last week in March or first week in April.

I'm still on the fence depending on pricing and timing, I also have a pre-pre-order deposit down on a Toyota BZ4X. (We're a Toyota family at heart, so even though I know the specs aren't the greatest, they have my loyalty for better or for worse.) I prefer the GV60, though, so I hope the pendulum swings this way.

Placed a deposit on a GV60 Advanced in Cardiff Green with Black interior. Dealer says they will have their test drive vehicle in April. I am 6'4" tall so I will be interested to see the differences to the Ionic 5 I had test driven. I hoping for greater seat comfort and better acceleration. No ETA on deliveries yet.

The way things are going, I’m starting to worry that Genesis, like a lot of other manufacturers, will start dropping features due to this blasted chip shortage. Who wants an expensive car missing half the features !?

They might do, heard that some new BMW touch screens don't have the touch functionality and just the scroll wheel for controlling the infotainment. So might be a case of deciding what we can live without on the vehicle. Some other cars don't have electric steering column, heated seats etc. Basically nonessential items, although heated seats ARE essential for Canadian winters!

Local salesperson mentioned the car that was ordered in February should be here late May, and pricing would be available early next month...have to wait and see, I'm sure Genesis corporate are being optimistic.

Any word on confirmed pricing in Canada? The anxiety is killing me!

I don't think anything has been announced or known in weeks now. The delays are pretty frustrating because it seems like customer deliveries will be getting pushed out further too. I'm considering reaching out to my dealer to see if they know anything about timeframes because its almost April already.

I have a Google alert set up to let me know immediately if there's news, but all that seems to be coming out are clickbait articles rehashing the same information over and over again. The one piece of news this week was that the GV60 will work with Apple Key, but i'm an Android guy so I skipped that story.

Yes, it’s bloody frustrating. My guy said there was one back east earlier, I’m not sure if that is the one that is now in NewYork (I think that white one in the video is NewYork), but there is a car at least in the US (not to mention the other green one that popped up at a dealership for a few hours) and without a price ?! Sure, there were either timeline mistakes or just delays due to situations beyond control but it’s dropped in other countries, at least tell us the blasted price so we can decide if we’re going to buy one or move on to something else. This boat must be powered by paddle wheel at the rate it appears to be travelling.

Genesis is waiting in Canada for the federal government to announce the new rebates on electric SUV's. It is rumored that the izev rebate will soon include fully electric SUV starting priced up the $59,999.00 CAD or even as high as $69,999.00 after upgrade packages. You can see that the Audi Q4 e-tron has taken full advantage with it's starting selling price of $59.950.00 before packages seem dialed in to the new changes.

The updated Izev program will be announced sometime before April 15, maybe the first week of April, depending on Budget day. We will probably have to wait until then.

Unfortunately. my dealer sales manger said that the recent Tesla $10,000 MY price increase is problematic for buyers, as Genesis feels it is a direct competitor. and allows GV60 price to go up towards the higher end of their expectations.

Here is their Company Product Comparison Guide for their sales team.
You can see who they think the competition is.

Best of luck to them if they think they can get model y pricing for what is essentially a Hyundai/Kia with a nicer interior.

Best estimates are that we're looking at a price $10K less than a Model Y Perf. The Model Y has substantially better range, but I'd argue on most other criteria the GV60 has it beat. Similar power, much nicer interior, better build quality, and I'd argue nicer exterior.

Lots of people are going to be cancelling, including me if you are correct.

Why would anyone pay $20,000 more than a EV6GT, for basically a reskin with a nicer interior?

Also, more power, less range.

Though, what you've described is every Genesis model. (Almost) All have a Hyundai and/or Kia equivalent at a much lower price - yet, somehow Genesis sells multiple models of vehicle.

spoke to my dealer today as he told me that they were expecting a car on the lost by end of March. He said that is now pushed out until mid April but i don't think he really knows...he's just guessing.
A poster above said the federal government is considering increasing the price up to which there is still a rebate? Anyone else heard this?

Yeah, I heard the same about an increase in the rebate window. I guess we’ll see what happens, if the car ever arrives.

Rumours that something more will be in the federal budget next month. If Genesis is smart, they’ll wait until the budget to announce pricing, just in case they can sneak something in to be eligible for a subsidy.
