  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GV60 Canadian Deposit - Local Dealer Information & Timelines

I know right up until recently Genesis offered a loyalty incentive of interest rate reduction of 1% if you previously purchased a Genesis , i assume this is still the case
Not something I'd be eligible for, and still wouldn't get me to my max rate.

As a side note, a few years ago when looking at another vehicle, the manufacturer had a program that offered a 1% loyalty rate reduction for existing customers of the brand, and also had a 'conquest' offer that gave a 1% reduction to those coming over from another brand. :)

Very early G70 owners who ordered in spring of 2018 got a good introductory finance/lease rate.
I ordered in October of 2018 and got a 1% rate reduction for owning a Hyundai/Genesis vehicle, $1,000 as a Conquest rebate for coming from an Acura or any other luxury brand, and a $1,000 rebate for the Prestige trim.

I asked about the Conquest rebate and the loyalty rate reduction and was told that the pre-orders were so hot that Genesis doesn't need to entice anyone to buy their cars anymore!

I think the salesperson may be confusing industry supply limits with preference for the Genesis brand. Regardless, it’s tough to argue with the fundamentals - people are waiting in lengthy lines for vehicles - particularly EVs, so why throw discounts around?

I was kinda on the fence about the Gv60 anyway and with all the banter of a close to 80000 price and Genesis not caring if i buy or not i will just wait till my G70 is paid off and either revisit the market in 2 years

No need to make any decisions now - particularly when pricing is uncertain. Let’s wait until we hear what the deal is. Maybe we’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Yeah I agree but recently fuel prices are crazy high and this seems to be the final straw for some of us to say screw this and fully commit and go EV.
And Genesis may capitalize on it this year!

Today my dealer said my car was in production and that I would be one of the first in Canada to get one. I ordered on Feb 9 in Quebec. No other details.

Maybe they'll tell you the price after you've paid for it.
This morning he said that pricing would be out end of April beginning of May and that I could expect my Car mid June to early July. I ordered Feb 9 a white premium GV60 with blue interior

My sales guy has been pretty conservative since day one on timing expectations and has resisted making guesses on pricing. Every day that passes, he is looking wiser and wiser.

You mean, Advance GV60? there's no Premium trim.

My dealer in Calgary said that the demos are on the ground in Canada and "completing government inspections."

I'm guessing there may be a Transport Canada certification process then? I used to work for CBSA and vehicle imports didn't typically get delayed for anything other that inspections for contraband.

That sounds a little fishy. I don’t think individual vehicles get inspected upon arrival.

That’s what my guy told me recently.

New vehicle, good go over I guess.

Audi Q4's have been at port in Halifax waiting for regulatory approval for months... The same for any new car that gets introduced to the market. I think in the past, cars made the auto show circuit, press releases etc... so they had a few over here for a while that they could submit for approval, prior to customer orders being sent over.

New to this Forum, and a little bit late to the GV60 party.

Did place a deposit for a Performance GV60 (uyuni white on black interior) on March 23rd after road testing a GV70 to get a better look and feel on the Genesis brand.

I'm in Montreal.

At that time, the dealer told me there were 600+ pre-orders in Canada, and if I wanted to take delivery before year-end, I should hurry.

They were expecting a demonstration unit in April, prices around end of March / beginning of April, financing rates in April, and deliveries between May-June and December.

Will send him an e-mail to know more and keep you guys posted.

I also placed my order on Feb 9 - and also was told 2 days ago my car was in production and delivery around end of June.
So either this is great validation that the cars are indeed being built - or we may have the same dealer, feeding us some bullshit LOL.

My dealer is K.S - you?

Has anyone gotten a quote on their trade in yet ? Just wondering what i have to work with but i cant get a quote from my dealer as they say they need a vin for the Gv60 , not sure i understand that since couldnt they just use a vin from a different car if needed ? I just wish i could have gotten this info before slapping down 1000 bucks for a reservation

That makes no sense to me. My go-tos for used car values are vmrcanada.com and canadianblackbook.com. They’ll get you in the ballpark.
I’ve never traded in a car. I’ll get a value from the dealership when I order, and end up selling for a fair bit more privately before I take possession of the new car. There have been substantial differences between trade-in and market values for the vehicles I’ve sold.
