Next update on build status is June, or update of any kind? Another month to wait before pricing? What about the big conference call today?

Stating that orders can take up to 8 months isn’t of much value.
Aside from knowing your number - and therefore guessing how much longer you’ve got to wait once you hear of others with lower numbers starting to receive theirs - this wasn‘t a particularly informative communication.
Now, those of us that haven’t even received our numbers will get more frustrated.

The way the email comes off its saying june update for our specific build and the vin tied to it

That is what i meant , i did not mean they would delay the release of the vehicle , i just meant the delivery date of individual vehicles , if the price is right i will keep my deposit down unless they tell me the car is 8 months out , however if they string me along with monthly updates for 3 or 4 more months i will be less likely to pull my deposit

Nah. They won’t hold anything back. They certainly have an incentive to take our deposits as early as they can, but once a factory is built, they’ll crank out vehicles as quickly as possible, and sell them as soon afterward as possible.

Why hold a car in a lot when you can sell it and collect another $70K On top of the deposit you already have?

Ok, my dealer just told me, On May 17. There's something big happening.
And the press will be invited to Houston for press review before that (Next week).
There's embargo until May 17.

Was that what the important conference call was about today? They gathered everyone together to tell them when they were going to have something to tell them?

An embargo, if true would be a good sign. It means there is something of substance to be shared. Let's hope it's applicable to the Canadian market.

Yeah there is so much inconsistency in feedback from dealers .. some people getting emails and updates , some people being told build rank and others not. All very poor transparency and consistency from corporate, and the dealers . Not good for a brand that is trying to cement its position alongside the existing top brands …

Dealerships are all the same. I’ve had a mix of good and atrocious experiences at brands from Chevy to Mercedes. I have not found there to be much correlation between brand position and service quality. Certainly a strong correlation to price, though.

Same here. Ordered a Performance at 10 am on Feb 9. My dealer maintains I will be one of the first in Canada to get the GV60, that my car was to be produced in April and delivered about 8 weeks after production. I was even shown a caption from a spreadsheet (unknown provenance) with my name and model with April production next to it. I do not have my order but it would be logical that first day orders start getting their cars 2023 models sometime in June or July. I think…I hope…

Dealerships are all the same. I’ve had a mix of good and atrocious experiences at brands from Chevy to Mercedes. I have not found there to be much correlation between brand position and service quality. Certainly a strong correlation to price, though.

It is the same with banks or others, it all comes down on the. Individual you are dealing with. That said, the differences in communications from Genesis Canada are hard to explain.

I suspect there are some eager salespeople, and some others that are not so eager…. Also, the significance of EV sales vs. other models may also be at play.

Houston is an odd place for a Genesis press event since HQ is in CA and most of their business is on the coasts (and not Gulf Coast). Only thing I can think of is this is nearish the first stand-alone Genesis dealership. It was recently opened in Lafayette, LA, which is about half way between Houston and New Orleans. It is about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Houston. As it happens, the distance is the same as the range of the Performance GV60.

Who cares about events for people who will end up on a two year waiting list. Just get the HQ models to the dealeship already. We already chipped in 1000$ that proves our interest, so we don't need marketing events, we need a simple info (price). After that, it's all about patience on our part.

Strange, UK pricing had been available for a while. This price seems to be cheaper though,for the UK market of course. Wondering if this is for a RWD.

Just realized this was posted on March the 3rd in the 'GV60 Pricing' thread. GV60 Premium RWD starting at 47 005. I guess they're late on twitter.
