  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GV60 Canadian Deposit - Local Dealer Information & Timelines

What a ridiculous email. The 'one-of-a-kind' lookbook is just a collection of stock images from the website - I bet each of ours is identical. The video they offer up is from September. (n)

Yup, same here, just got that email from Genesis Appology.

I am sure all the GV60 people that reserve their GV60 is way too impatient and frustration that we can't even know how much the car actually is. And no delivery day and so on. However, Genesis aren't the only one. Even the toyota, subaru, have a 24months wait list.
As luxury brand, they should be taken this more serious, this would definitely ruin their endeavor to expand in the N-A market.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I’m guessing most/all of us just got the “apology” email about the timing of the GV60, and that they are being built/delivered now. Kinda strange and I’m hoping they get us pricing soon or I’ll be out of here haha.
It looks like we probably have pricing: $66k and $76k. That seems to be the consensus although I agree it would be nice to know for sure.
If there is to be a May 17 announcement it would be nice for Genesis to let us know at this point so we can have something to look forward to. It seems that is the minimum of corporate communication I would expect.

So advance is qualified for federal rebate?
No rebate for Advanced.
Also just received an email from Genesis Canada just thanking me for my patience and a promise of future updates.

No mention of order status number.

At this point they really should consider releasing the price of the different vehicle trims, even if they aren't being delivered until later this year. I want to pull the trigger on something, but feel lm being strung along. It isn't the best way to start a relationship with new customers. They need to be more open and transparent.

So $76k before taxes , no rebate and a number of the features not available ? But we don’t know this or don’t know what features not coming because they do not confirm anything

What’s so different about the Canadian market ?
They treat us like sh&t
And we are the customers !

just got this email a moment ago:

On behalf of myself, my team, and the entire Genesis family, we are absolutely thrilled that you have decided to reserve the Genesis GV60. The process of building and delivering your vehicle has officially begun, and we can’t wait for you to experience it firsthand. We promise this will be well worth the wait.

We understand you may have hoped to get behind the wheel sooner. Unfortunately, a worldwide microchip shortage has caused unexpected production delays. I would like to thank you for your continued patience, and we invite you to stay in touch with your Genesis Experience Manager for updates on your vehicle.

Keep an eye on your inbox leading up to the delivery of your GV60, because we will be providing you with a variety of useful information, including status updates on your vehicle, our latest product information, exciting Genesis news, and more.

Finally, I encourage you to explore some of our favourite features of the Genesis GV60 by watching the highlight video, or by previewing a special lookbook that we have created for you below.

Sincerely,
Lawrence Hamilton
Executive Director
Genesis Motors Canada
I received the exact same email.

What makes you think a number of features won't be available?
I've never pre ordered before and even though the deposit is refundable, I expect the features list provided by Genesis when I pre ordered to be the features that I get on the car.

When I pressured my dealer he said if you need to know the price so badly, you can not afford the car.
Sheesh!

So if an advance turns out to be $66k with no rebate that effectively means advance is 9K more expensive than virtually the same spec Ionic 5 ultimate (62 -5K rebate). Yeah the GV60 interior is nicer but its not 9K nicer. The performance at 76k is actually not a bad value if you compare it to a model Y performance at least until EV6 GT or Ioniq 5 N show up. If these prices are accurate I can't help feel Genesis is out to lunch on at least some of its pricing.

I was comparing to the European markets , and the selling price remaining so high ..
nothing is confirmed .. until it’s confirmed

Got the email as well. No real information. What a joke.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? What a buffoon! Walk away. I'd refuse to let someone like that earn a commission from me.

What a rude and misguided comment. There are many of us that can afford things, but don't buy them because we don't believe there is value in doing so.

Wow if my dealer talked to me like that I’d cancel my reservation on the spot. I have deposits down on other EVs and the price the GV60 comes in at determines whether it’s competitive against the rest of the market, not whether we can write the check to buy it. That’s pretty awful customer service.

Sheesh indeed. That is very pretentious of your dealer. I would have been quite insulted with a remark like that.

This deserves to be mentioned to Genesis Canada.

That is shitty salesmanship, there is a difference between being able to afford something and not wanting to pay more than it's value (or perceived value).

This is really frustrating. Still a little hope that 66K would actually be 59999$ + 6000$ package. We all know we'll have to wait for the car, we understand, but pricing (and financing). Come on !!! If it wasn't for the bad driver headroom in the EV6...
