If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. GV60 Canadian Deposit - Local Dealer Information & Timelines

i thought the same thing when I looked at the tester, but go for the test drive. I thought it was far more impressive when you are inside and driving it.. I had the same experience in Wpg. Despite putting down a deposit, no one ever called me for the test drive, I had to ask for it. Now that I have my gv60 and the sale is done, the sales person keeps in touch. Go figure.
Yeah its weird, my "experience manager" never did get back to me after leaving my contact information with reception. I had to email and he got back to me the next day. I did find out that apparently my early April ordered Sao Paulo Lime Performance is "almost built". If that is factual it should be in Winnipeg in about 6-8 weeks. I am going to try arrange a test drive in the next couple weeks with their performance demo. I am kind of excited. I am not sure if my wife still wants the car and if that is the case I am hoping it will sufficiently impress me to trade my Ionic 5 ultimate. On the upside I had a look at what I5s on the secondary market are selling for and it seems insane. The only Ioniq 5 ultimate for sale in Canada on autotrader has an ask of 89K. I think I am going to have some fun negotiating.

Talked to my dealer this morning.

I was told my rank is 45 on the production line for a Uyuni White Performance on a black interior, and my expected production date is september.

My rank was 263 on April 13th, meaning roughly 50 Uyuni White on black Performance models a month on average for the North American market I guess...

For the records, I don't have a VIN yet, I placed my order on March 23rd, and I am in Canada.

Texted my dealer and he got back to me telling me I am now rank 23, still no VIN and no firm production date. I have an Uyuni White Performance with Black interior on order.

My history is as follows:

Date
Rank
Expected production
March 23rdOrder and deposit dateUnknown
April 13th2632023
June 28thDid not askNovember 2022
July 11th - Road testDid not askSeptember 2022
August 19th45September 2022
September 13th23September/October 2022

It seems this list is updated monthly by Genesis Canada, and the last update was Monday September 12th.

Looking at this, it seems the production slowed down for White on Black performance models: my rank went from 263 to 45 in about 4 months which is roughly a 50 decrease by month, and slowed to 22 in the last month. Maybe they are now focusing on Advanced models...

My GV60 got delivered last week (Waterloo) (Red performance with Ash Gray/Glacier White interior). Almost 7 months exactly from ordering on February 8. Planned road trip to Atlanta this upcoming weekend. No doubt I'll learn a lot about it & also about using public chargers on this 1,600 km trip, each way. My one-time use of my home level 2 Grizzl-e charger was great & really easy. My initial impression about the car is that it definitely was worth the wait.

Congratulations, I think you will really enjoy the trip. I just got back from a trip to Dallas Texas on Saturday in my Ioniq 5, great experience plus Electrify America chargers were free during their upgrade process. The entire 4400km trip cost me a total of $4 in electricity, pure awesome. :)

Wow. That sounds sounds particularly attractive. I'm a little nervous about the unknown public charging experience but I believe I'll learn quickly. Any advise for an app that plots routes showing hotel/motels with EV chargers? I've preloaded all the recommended Canadian and American charging apps but I don't think any focus on the hotels with chargers.

Gee, that sounds attractive, for sure. I'm a little nervous about the new-to-me public charger experience but hopefully, I'll come back as a veteran. I've downloaded all the recommended Canadian and American EV apps but I haven't come across one that seems to allow searching for hotel/motels with EV charging. Perhaps I've just not looked at them enough. Any recommendations?

I think if you’re looking for hotels with chargers that you will want something like the TeslaTap adapter

A quick Google search of hotels that have charging stations brings up a list of hotel companies. Coast hotels, Hilton, etc. has information on which hotels have chargers

I don’t think the Tesla Tap adapt or works on their Superchargers though?
Teslatap does not work with Superchargers as they need to “talk” to the car - at least not yet. Who know what will work and/or be needed if/when they open up to CCS cars.

No it doesn't. But it works on Level 2 chargers which is what hotels will have

No update yet unfortunately.

As many of us here, I need to poke my dealer to get an update, he is not keeping me updated proactively.

I'm seeing people on a Quebec Facebook page getting their cars even if they did place an order after me. I know, they got lucky and were offered a cancellation, but this is beginning to annoy me... the fact that I made a deposit 6 months ago to be able to pay MSRP for a car I may not see before year end has probably something to do with the fact that I am running out of patience!

Same feeling here really disappointed no updates from the dealer unless requested.

Mike I think you are seeing mostly cancelled orders being re allocated. 2 weeks ago I got notified by dealer that my car was almost going to be built. I thought great I should have it by November at some point knowing from my previous factory orders it takes 6-8 weeks from production in Korea to landing at a dealer. Well I was little surprised to see my car land at my dealer a week later with many of the typical protective plastic removed from the car, like a partial PDI had already occurred. I am pretty sure its a cancelled reallocation.

That's how I got mine....cancellation. For those waiting, I hope you think it is worth it in the end. I am really liking my car and it would have been worth it to wait.

Same thing happened with my Ionic 5 ultimate and I have really enjoyed owning it for the past 6 months. My only trepidation after being told otherwise is was that the Ioniq 5s in North America built before June will quite possibly never get the battery preconditioning software update. After already owning a Kona EV without pre conditioning for 3 Canadian winters that was a complete deal killer for me and here I am maybe moving to the GV60. It it wasn't for that I would have been perfectly happy with the Ioniq 5, oh well.

Point of my long ramble is that there is sometimes benefit to waiting a little longer.

Guys,

I'll buy myself a lottery ticket: about 3 hours after posting the message above, my dealer called me to confirm the car was in production, asked me if I was still interested, gave me the VIN, and told me the car should be here in 6 - 8 weeks.

My timeline is now:
