  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GV70 Daily Picture Thread

Generally you dont want the diameter to change more than i think 1.5% from stock. My oem was 19" with 235/55/19 tires. My setup is:

20" wheels
255/45/20 tires.

Lots of calculators online to help compare size. I like 1010tires' version. ItsIt's Like a 0.5% change in overall size so it will hardly have an impact on the speedo.

We have the smaller engine. 2.5 i4

Just got some new tints. 20% all around with a 45% windshield

Great color!!

Matte colors look so cool, but worried about a rock hitting it,, and not being able to take to the car wash

Man mines only has them on the front. I have a Fully Loaded. This is weird. I’m located in NY.
Do you have a 2022 MY? The brake system changed on the 3.5 in the US between 2022 and 2023.

Yes. I have a 2022 3.5 And oh okay. I would love to confirm which vehicles came with front and rear vs those that only came with front brake caliper covers.

Love to confirm that my communication stating Genesis changed the braking system from 2022 to 2023 on the 3.5 doesn’t help you understand why your 2022 is different than the 2023?

I guess if you need more confirmation you could Google search and you’ll read how the Brembo brake caliper piston are used on both front and rear in 2023.

PS the “cover” displaying Genesis is the actual brake piston caliper, not a cover. A cover is a cheap piece added to a braking system to make it appear more like a Brembo brake.

Mine is a 2023 3.5t sport and it has the genesis calipers on the front and rear. Are you saying they’re brembo with a cover?

No I understand. Never mind about me saying anything about confirm.

You were a great help providing me information about this. Thank you for your time. Appreciate it.

I’ve had my car since late 2021. And I just noticed this. What an eye sore it is to me now.

Fake it till you make it.

Why would you put on a cheap cover that could only add risk to one of the most important components on any car. If you want breaks that look like this then spend the money to upgrade (not necessary given the current breaks and their performance). This would only bring a cheesy laugh to anyone that recognizes the difference and detract from the rest of the car. The GV70 has very strong breaks. Enjoy them as they are.

Show me where I said I’m gonna add a cheap cover.

I am using the word you as a generalization and not directed at “you” specifically. I see too many people that do half ass customizations rather than spend the money to do it right. In the end they creat a vehicle that is just plain dangerous. It’s like the “kids” that lower a car by cutting the springs. In my area this type of activity is out of control.

Oh yeah totally agree. I’m not with customizing. Not a fan. I personally like stock, oem installs.

Got some new wheels for Spring/Summer!
