  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Only issue w/ ergo-motion is that it only stays on for about 10 minutes and then it turns off. I cannot find a setting to change this.

Or you can just hit the button on the side of the seat again when it turns off and it will do another 10 minutes.

But as far as comfort in the lumbar area, no issues?

Love these guys. Didn't read all 22 pages (yet) of this thread to know if anyone commented, but... Yuri mentioned some "discomfort" in lower back when driving with only a T-shirt (jacket blunts it). Jakub did not. I'm Yuri's size so I took notice.

Any feedback on front seat comfort of Prestige trim (with ergo-motion/air bladders)? Haven't had a chance to sit in one at my local dealer yet (they only have Advance trim on lot).
I'm in the same boat but don't experience the same lower back discomfort. I do get pain in my left shoulder (I'm left-handed and tend to keep my left hand at 10 o'clock). I think I need to fiddle with my seat and wheel settings to address that; right now it's set to whatever the ergo system calculated and when I first get in it feels perfect but the pain doesn't take long to develop.

In the seat settings, the ergo motion can be set fir 10, 15 or 20 minutes. Mine is set for long (20 minutes).

I love this board!!!

My dad had a 1958 Volkswagen -- we used to wave whenever we saw another one. It was like a family. ( I would not fit in what we called the "very back" anymore) :D

If I ever see another GV80 -- I will beep and wave!

It’s like watching the dumbest Kardashian. I could only take 2 minutes.
Haha I felt same but pushed through out of morbid curiosity. Her schtick grew on me a bit; there were some funny moments. Didn't realize how popular her channel is (almost 350K subscribers).

I love my Porsche's but feel the Cayenne vs GV80 is apples and oranges in the overall vehicle. Obviously the Cayenne is sportier and faster and also costs 10K more. Their warranty is less and maintenance costs are quite high for any Porsche. Not sure what Genesis maintenance will eventually be though.

Luxury styling is personal taste, Cayenne is sportier and GV80 is more elegant, simply two different vehicles.

For me, I'm trading in my Macan Turbo for the GV80 for outstanding styling inside and out and this was a tough decision as my Macan only had 29K miles.

My 2 Cents.
Ditto, just traded in my 18 Macan S for a GV80. The Macan was great, we enjoyed it for 3 years, one 3,400 mile road trip, but we needed something larger, and while the Cayenne may be sportier, to get anything even close to the way the GV is equipped was an additional 30 to 40k. Now we're enjoying the GV.

2016 macan s with 105 kms (Canada) was traded in. Ouside of warranty: 3 wheel bearings, head unit malfunction (on/off) every 5 minutes, engine out head gasket replacement... etc etc. Truly the best decision ever to rid myself of a --German great--????
GV80 superior in every single way.

Had a Porsche many years ago. I think I replaced just about everything on the car in the 10 years I owned it. Loved the way it drove and handled though. When I see these reliability polls that have Porsche so high today I have to wonder when reading posts like yours.

2.5T AWD Prestige: How is the ride with 22s? Is it harsh? Is the sidewall enough to prevent accidental damage to rims when driving over potholes/bumps?

Harsh is a relative term. Any size wheel can damage a sidewall and the lower the profile the greater the risk. There’s a lot of luck involved. It depends on the roads, your tolerance, your desire for maximum handling and, I suppose, a bunch of other conditions.

I enjoy the potential for better handling of the 22s, but admittedly sometimes wish for a silkier ride. Michigan roads don’t care what I want. They SUCK,

UK reviews have all been pretty good actually. Only widespread complaint I've seen is that they want it to offer air suspension like the Germans, which is fair.

Top Gear UK posted their review- the first truly scathing one in the U.K. 5/10.

Though it's not exactly surprising given how much bias they have towards Euro brands, which they made sure to pepper all throughout the article.

I was curious about wheel size tested, when I looked this is what I got. Is that just my phone or does it reflect the quality of the article?

I'm glad Clarkson, Hammond, and May left Top Gear to do their own thing, cause clearly Top Gear itself doesn't care anymore.

Aussie long-term review...

Goes into some good stuff.

Think remember reading that the AUDM GV80 didn't get the usual Aussie tuning due to the pandemic - which is a shame because Hyundai's tuning outfit in Australia does the best job of tuning for driving dynamics and ride (wish they just used the Aussie tuning worldwide, or at least in NA, where the suspension engineers here are a bit meh).

That matte Melbourne grey is gorgeous, but as the article states, can be a bit stressful.
