Have you had problems with your Genesis?

I notice the antifreeze smell also on my 2013 3.8. Have anyone taken their car to the dealership for their opinion?

Just went though this entire topic, wow some strange and concerning problems.

I have only had my car a short time I am the second owner I got it with 52k on it I noticed a speaker was rattling (after a couple days it was quite obviously blown) I took it into the dealer and also mentioned my drivers window had not gone Auto up one time, they looked over the car and told me the speaker was ordered as was the drivers window switches. 2 days later I returned and they installed them, at that time I had been noticing that my rear window defroster was not doing very well, and my drivers outside mirror was full of condensation they looked over those problems and said the rear window was the result of improper tint removal, they could find no reason the drivers mirror wasn't working. The warranty of course does not cover abuse but the service manager let me know if the drivers mirror continues to malfunction they will replace it before my 60k mile expires.
And as to the rear window I bought my car from carmax and so went back into them about the rear defroster, within 30 days they also cover everything warranty so they told me they will fix/replace the back glass to ensure that the defrost works. I have an appointment to get that done next week.

It's been 10 months since I purchased my '13 5.0 Rspec, I have put 6400 miles on it (11000 on the clock) and so far NOTHING has happened yet!... knock on wood!

I also chose minor problems. Bought my '09 3.8 16 months ago and I love it. Was a base model but had a few upgrades on it.The parking sensor on the driver front side keeps alarming, quick fix: turn it off!. The electric steering wheel switch has a dead spot when trying to raise the steering column. Quick fix: Don't adjust the steering wheel! Only major complaint is when trying to change your playlist on your ipod . have to take your eyes off the road for too long. Could be dangerous. Wish I had the stereo controller on the center console like on the premium model.

Anyone have an issue where the 7" touchscreen freezes for roughly 10 seconds during startup? (Premium trim, no DIS controller)

Also, recently my auto-sensing rain wipers seem to be going off, even when it's NOT raining, and have to manually turn them to 'OFF' mode. Even switching it back and forth from AUTO to OFF doesn't fix this issue. It seems to resolve itself while driving?

Bought my New 2013 Tech almost 6 months ago. Sometimes the Nav boots up in 5 seconds, sometimes it takes 10 seconds before you get that stupid warning message.
The only problem I have is that I can't find the button to make the car levitate before flying.....That and the afterburner button.

Well they have not done it yet, but yes it is very good of them, I will be going in on thursday the 12th I hope they have a back window in because I doubt they can replace the defrost lines on this glass, and I would hate to have to come back in another time again.

I put 2.5 inch exhaust on it I found the afterburner button.....

Has anybody had the TSB performed for squeaky headliner on sunroof equipped models? I don't have the TSB number on me at work but all that was involved is adding more insulation. With the sunroof headliner panel closed the sound would not occur but would only happen if open. Now it is worse when open and audible when closed. Going to call them today to see what else can be done.

Well had to have something else happen, but from reading here figured it would, The steering wheel memory module has failed, it does not move the wheel when you select preset 1 or 2. the wheel will still move up and out of the way when you shut off the car.

my dealer has ordered the part and will put it in under warranty.

Oh my, what a sarcastic piece of junk these vehicles are! I drove one for the first time yesterday as a National rental, I think I'm all set. Been driving Toyotas for too long, it's like beer and hot wings compared to these Korean wannabe's. Jeez for $32K you can get a new TCH with leather, navi, and a roof, and 40 mpg to boot!

How exactly can a car be "sarcastic?" If you want a Camry, you could actually get one without posting gratuitous comments about some other car you're not interested in.

The only problems I seems to have with my 2012 genesis sedan3.8 is the Bluetooth will not stay connected to my new phone. also the power tilt mirrors won't tilt down anymore when I put it in reverse. is there something I'm doing wrong. only had the car for one month.so any advice will help.

If I remember correctly, those power mirrors ONLY tilt when in reverse IF you have the 'switch' for the mirrors in the correct position.

Either in the middle, or on one of the sides I believe. Let me know if that solves it!
