  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Have you seen any/many Genesis on the streets?

I grew up in Meadville - have been in MD since 1962. You?

Keep your eyes peeled for another Black on black 3.8 on Aug 24. I'll be traveling from Holden Beach NC to Erie, PA to do a dance/music workshop at Long's School of the Dance. I'll be blowing right by Meadville on Tuesday morning. Is the road construction finished on I-79 yet?

No idea about I-79. I haven't been through Meadville since my mother passed away several years ago - as I said, I've been living in MD since 1962. Anyway, have a good trip - my last Genesis trip, to NC, was great except for several very long traffic jams. But even sitting still is better in a Genesis! :D

DG,

Oooops, read that last one too quickly. Overlooked the MD part! Oh well, you're right, sitting still in a Genesis is still a better experience than others I can think of.

IF you come to my part of NC you won't have to sit still in traffic. It's pretty wide open in Brunswick County. The only traffic is on the barrier islands themselves where there is only one street: Oak Island, Holden Beach, Ocean Isle Beach, Sunset Beach.

I've been out of the country for the last 45 days, but live in Erie. As a rule of thumb, construction on I-79 is a constant once the snow melts each Spring. On the plus side, however, you'll have a chance to experience Erie's great summer weather - the payoff from its dreadful winters.

I've seen three in the past week outside of Philly -- northwestern 'burbs.

I live in Cleveland, Oh and I have seen only 3 sedans and a handfull of coupes here in the northeast. I do drive to erie pa sometimes to go to the casino up there. The drive accross I-90 is interesting with all of the construction.

I saw Silver one in the Clackamas Promenade this weekend with Hyundai badges!!

Im sure were going to run into each other eventually DubaRich :) I did buy my Genesis at Town and Country and see a white Genesis in the Parking lot at Safeway at Webster and Thiessen road and shop at the Clackamas Prominade - I haven't made any changes to my Genesis other than I keep it really really clean ! :)

Hey, it's dreary Erie, ya know. Two seasons up there: 1) Winter and 2) Road Construction. We used to say "Winter and the 4th of July"

:D

I live in central CT and I got mine Dec. 28, 2009. I have only seen two others in that time. A red and a white that both were V8's and had been rear re-badged.

I've traveled several times to NE Mass. and Rochester, NY and not seen any!

You too, Ron? I'm from Meadville, and my family owned property on Edinboro lake for 100 years (from 1905 until my mother passed away a few years ago and we sold the last of the cottages). "Dreary Erie, the mistake by the lake,":D we always used to say (for no good reason, but hey, that's what kids do, right?).

Given its small size and obscurity, it’s surprising to see Erie even mentioned in this forum. Yes, I remember the Dreary Erie thing while living here during high school and recall wanting to live someplace else. So I got a (great) job permitting me to live in large capital cities in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. Ironically, upon retirement, I was back in Erie For me anyway, there is no place like home - it just took 28 years to recognize it.

I'm sure we'll run across each other when we least expect it. I bought mine from Sandy at T&C also...it was the owners demo.

I saw an identical Red 3.8 just like mine today in Port Moody BC where I live. We both had shocked expressions and waived at each other at a light. Couple of black sedans but fewer than I would have guessed as we have a large Korean population in Vancouver.

I live in a small town in Western Pennsylvania and am now driving my second Genesis, both were silver but the newest is the 4.6 with tech package and self installed Genesis wings fore and aft. There are several more in the local area and I see one now and then on I-99, but then one could go by without me seeing it.

It's amazing how many drivers come up close behind me and just stare at the car wondering what I am driving. Of course you have got to keep in mind many people are not very knowledgeable about automobiles or the various models so your car or any other may be of little or no interest to them.

We have a local Hyundia dealer and they move a few Genesis's but the big volume sellers are the Sonata and Sante Fe.

After driving my Genesis for 18 months and 29,270 miles through 33 states and a province, I finally saw my first Genny on the road...white '09 just like mine, a quarter-mile from my home with out-of-state plates. Guess I was trying too hard.

I live in the Midland/Odessa/Lubbock area in Texas and I've probably seen 3 or so in the past two years. Saw a couple in the southern New Mexico area as well.

I've seen 5 in the last week, a pretty big jump. 4 white and a silver. I'm in the suburbs of Philly, near King of Prussia, Conshohocken, and Lancaster Ave. If any of them were you, I was the guy in the titanium gray.

Is that for your disdain for the orignal logo ?

I was thinking it could be mine since I go to the Prominade to the Pet Co but mine Genesis is titanium.

Yes, just my feelings about the original logo. I see quite a few cars with the LAZY H badges. I notice that all of the 2010 3.8V6 wheels that I see have the tiny LAZY H covers on the center. I love that wheel but would like it even better with Genesis wheel covers.
