If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Have you seen any/many Genesis on the streets?

I live in the Bay Area in California. I saw two on a road trip down to Santa Barbara last month but that's been it.

Our local Hyundai dealership closed last winter so I seem to be the lone Genesis owner in my neighborhood.

I have noticed a lot of people in my rear view mirror squinting at my Genesis wing badge trying to figure out what I'm driving.

I've seen 3 so far. All within April. A blue v6 pulling out of a DMV. A black v8 parked near a shipping company, and a gold v6 driving down the road.

I've seen 6 Genesis in los Angeles, and 1 on I-15 between Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

I live in the East Bay portion of the S.F. Bay Area and have been looking for another Genesis on the road since I bought mine in mid January. It's been over 3 months and I still have have yet to see a single one. Perhaps we need to resurrect the "flashing of the headlights" that once was common when sports car drivers would pass one another if we see another Genesis approaching. I also own a Gold Wing and the practice of giving a wave to other motorcycle riders is as common today as it has been for many years.

Just came back from a trip out to Phoenix, and then Roswell, before returning to Florida.
Other than sitting on a dealer lot, in both cities, I saw NONE on the road. Zero.
Does not bother me though because I also did not see any Continentals like our second car.

Around Mount Dora, and Lake County Florida, I've seen four or five. One woman who lives here and has a shop downtown has one, plus I've seen a few more, including the one that had replaced the "Flying H" on the trunk with the "Winged Genesis".
Well you will see more and more they are selling like hotcakes around the charlotte area i'm a service director at carolina hyundai in ft mill s.c and we are selling 4 to 5 a week so i know other areas have to be doing as well they are getting harder for us to get.

Up until this past weekend I had seen none on the road in South Florida. Then all of a sudden on the way to a Saturday afternoon movie I see a black one in front of me. I pull up alongside and pull down the passenger window to say hello. The other driver thought I had a different car when she saw the Genesis wings on my wheels and hood. She said "I got to get me one of those". Then after she pulled ahead of me, I looked in my rear view mirror to see another black Genesis (this one had the wings). And if that wasn't enough, as we were walking out of the Theater, I saw another black Genesis sedan (with the wings) parked a row away from my black one. Only in Boca Raton, FL.

I have seen a dozen on dealer lots but none driven on the I-4 corridor.

I live and travel the Boston, Cape Cod and Providence triangle to the tune of
appox 24,000 miles a year and have not seen one Genesis on the road. I also have a Hyundai dealer 1.5 miles from where I live and they always have 6 to 8 Genesis on the lot. Hard to tell if these cars have been turning over or not. They have been advertising a base model V6 with the same stock # for over 2 months. I am interested in a V8 w/tech pkg and do not find very many in this area.

I did see one privately owned Genesis in Naples FL in March.

I just took a rode trip from New Jersey to Rhode Island. I didn't see another Genesis on the road. My wife and I were amazed at how many folks were slowing down to checkout our Genesis. It was definitely turning heads.

Several weeks back I followed my wife to a local auto repair shop as she was dropping off our Hyundai Santa Fe for service. Two guys literally ran out of the waiting room to checkout my Genesis. I also noticed every mechanic in place stopped working and was looking out the bay windows.

I love driving my car.:D

My daughter lives a couple hours south of you, in Gilbert (Columbia) SC. They own both a Hyundai and a Kia. Never had an iota of problems with either one.

When I went downtown for my coffee fix, at one of the local coffee shops. (six of them in the six block tourist area), I saw another black Genesis V6.
For some reason, this one did not have the word Genesis on the trunk, like other Genesis'. I knew it was a V6 by the wheels.

I have seen none on the road in MN, Also the local dealer still has the same 3 V6 Gennys on the lot he had last November.

2 base and 1 prem +....

I work in Columbus and commute from a rural suburb called Lancaster (Ohio). I've seen ONE and, ironically, it was sitting in a driveway in my neighborhood, two streets over. I've never seen any others outside of the dealership.

I have seen three in the last month. One in Alpharetta GA, Canton, GA and Jasper, GA.

I live in Minneapolis, MN and I have seen only a couple. One at the airport shortly after I bought mine in January and another on the highway.

As an aside: I see WAY too man ugly Lincoln MKS' on the road...

While checking out new condo's in Novi, I happened to see a black Genesis parked in someones open garage :D That's a good sign..

Since I purchased mine in December, I have seen one on the highway here in the Raleigh area and I used to see one in the neighborhood where I live. Although I haven't seen that particular one recently.

Saw one today in Smithfield, NC on the same road where the outlet mall is located. It was black exterior w/the flying H still on the trunk. Surprised I haven't seen more. Even with two fairly large Hyundai dealers in the immediate Raleigh metro area.

I saw 2 in NJ, one in South Jersey and one in North, besides my own! I went to LA in March and surprisingly did not see one Genesis!!! I thought there were alot in CA, but the only sighting was in a Dealer!

I saw two more Genesis since my last post (Apr,19,o9'). One in San Gabriel and one in Montclair. Both these cities are in L.A. county.
