  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Have you seen any/many Genesis on the streets?

Suburban Detroit area:

Saw light blue one yesterday and a black one today. In addition, someone in my office building owns a silver one.

As an aside: I see WAY too man ugly Lincoln MKS' on the road...

Ditto on the MKS. I was thinking of buying one, (trading my MKZ), but I just did not like the looks, plus just knowing that they had not yet introduced the 3.5 twin turbo, turned me off. Also, the MKS looks narrow and too tall for the width. Now if Lincoln would bring out a car that looked like an upgrade of my Continental, (Long, low and beautiful) with an upgraded interior, (Navi, etc), I would consider it. The MKS looks "Short and squat". BTW, only after I parked my Continental next to my Genesis, did I see that the Genesis is shorter and taller than the Continental. It does not look shorter and taller unless parked side by side. I don't know how Hyundai did it, as the Genesis also has so much more rear seat leg room than the Continental.

To me, the MKS looks bloated and confused...a complete mess. I can't believe how TALL that car is. I think your old MKZ looks much better!

On the way to work this morning saw a Black Gen in Southfield, Mi.

I've been looking for another Genesis on the road here in the S.F. Bay Area since I bought mine back in mid January. Haven't seen even one — until last Sunday, when I returned home from a weekend road trip. It was too late in the day to run the car through the local car wash, so I decided to top off the tank at my neighborhood Chevron station before I put the car to bed for the night. When I pulled into the station I did a double-take. At the pumps was a platinum/black 4.6 identical to mine. Talked briefly with the owner. He said he bought his car two months ago and had just added the Wing to the trunk lid and hood (I went with trunk lid only). He was unaware of the availability of the Wing wheel caps or steering wheel Wing until he saw mine, which he said he was going to have to add (I told him he could find them on eBay). It appears that gassing up his Genesis when he did was going to cost him more than a simple tank of gas.

Funny, I feel exactly the opposite. The MKS looks great from most angles to me whereas the MKZ still looks like a dressed up Fusion (the doors/roofline are a dead giveaway). I also find the implementation of the the new Lincoln corporate grille and tailights on the 2010 MKS unsightly (they're both about 20% too large).

Just my $0.02. :)

I leased my Genesis 3.8 Black on Black on 4/30 in new york, i have yet to see one on the road (i did see one parked across the street from my brothers house in Queens), it's funny, people stop me and the first question they all ask is 'What is that'??? Then i tell them it's the Genesis, and they say is that a baby Bentley?(i have the wings on the hood and trunk) I say no it's a Hyundai, and they all say "That's a Hyundai??? i say yes it is, on the parkway one guy pulls up next to me and asks me about the car, I'm thinking to myself like dude we're doing like 40 WTF,lol Man i love this car, it's the best, i don't think the price will be as sweet in a couple of years, i figure they low bridged the price to gain market share and make a name for themselves but this car compares very well to the Lexus, infiniti, or BMW.

I live in Dutchess county NY and I have yet to see a Genesis on the road...there are 240 homes in my neighborhood and mine is the only one. Guess thats ok........I also looked at the MKS but I would only get the ecoboost engine and you HAVE to order it with AWD which jacks the sticker well over $45K. It is a nice car though.

Passed a Genesis 4.6 on my way to work this past week...it was the same color as mine. Couldn't tell what else he had...had to keep my eyes on the road (don't have that new-fangled City Traffic thingy that Volvo has :().

Hi all, my very first posting... I saw a black colored one with the wings stuck in traffic here at Lake Merced in San Francisco 4:30p today. License ended in 3 I believe... Nice! I went straight to the dealership in Burlingame and spent a couple of hours chatting up with a financier about the benefits of leasing one... I was unconvinced as the residual $17000 after 3 years will need to be dealt with - I am pretty sure I'll be keeping the car longer than that...

Well, yes it was. On Old Milton Parkway near HWY 9. It was about quitting time one evening.

That may have been me. My car has the KDM wings and depending on when you saw the car I now have Formula One 50 window tint . Probably was crazy clean!

I've seen three on the road, all V6's - but I went to get some coffee at a local small mall today and there were two black tinted Genesii(?!) a few cars away from each other.

I am confidant I will see more in the future once the car gets more and more mainstream.

I saw one today on the way home from work. It was black but didn't get a look at the interior.

This was 3 week or so ago. I don't believe there was any tint on the one that I saw and didn't know if it had the wings or not. that was before I had mine. Back then, I didn't know anything about the wings. Found that out when my 4.6 came with the wings on it already.

Edited for typo...may be too excited today

Thanks. I love you guys and this forum. Leased a Black 3.8 with Premium Plus Package today. I really dont ned a Navigation as I go home to work in this car.

With 62 million cars on US roads and only 30,000 Genesis automobiles, the odds are huge in seeing one.

30000 Genesis sold already? good heaven, it feels like it is only yesterday when the nay Sayers were mentioning how the Genesis was going to be the next ‘VW Phantom’ and how Hyundai will be lucky to sell 1000, if any at all…. :p

I Saw 2 cars yesterday (Orlando – Atlanta I-75) one 3.6 Maroon (no emblems), and a 4.6 Black, with probably 30%+ tint...
