  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Have you seen any/many Genesis on the streets?

Okay, I've driven about 800 mi in the past three days. Been in NC, VA, WV and PA.

Drove into a motel in Bridgeport WV on Monday, good ol' boys sitting around the front door looked and looked. Could not figure it out though they were trying.

Pulled into the Clarion Bel Aire hotel in Erie PA Tuesday to behold a black 3.8 Genny with Ontario plates. Pretty much identical to mine. Then, last night noticed another car looking for safe parking: Genesis coupe, black. So I saw three in one motel parking lot.

Yesterday, i drove to a tiny little village in SW NYState, Lilydale. A very tiny place with hardly any parking. You have to park on top of the folks next to you and I was quite anxious about it. Finally, I came to a crowded lot and spotted a nice parking place between a car and a gazebo. The car? 2010 black Genesis 3.8 with Maryland plates. Stayed there most of the day without incident. I don't think the Genesis owner from Annapolis ever saw me, but I have photos! ;)

Took another trip these last few weeks, Calif to Glacier Nat. Park (Canada), Yellowstone, Jackson WY, and then Portland and down 101 to Calif. Did not see a single Genesis sedan.

saw another genesis black with genesis emblem in Queens, New York on Linden while on my way to my cousin's party

My wife and I took a trip last week from Chino Hills, Ca to Nampa, Idaho. Drove up Hwy 395 to Bishop, CA across Nevada, Oregon and into Idaho. Never saw one Genesis on the trip up and back home. Had a few people ask me how I liked it. Many positive comments on how they liked the looks of it.

I thought I saw one a few days ago parked kitty-corner to my Genesis in downtown Anoka, but I was wrong and caught off guard. Damn wings:)

See? That's what I'm talking about. The Genesis is MUCH better looking!

Yeah, Chino Hills.... my LASD brother-in-law lives there. Right now we're in Chino.

The Genesis sedans still seem sparse in Calif to BC Canada.

As I have previously noted, took a 2000 mile road trip Orlando-Houston-Orlando in May and a 2000 miler in June Orlando-Indiana-Orlando and saw not a single Genesis save mine.

I am now 4900 miles into a 5800 miler from Orlando, through the south and midwest, SD, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Texas...still haven't seen another Genesis.

I did have my fourth "Is that a Bentley?" moment at Yellowstone.

Dunno which one of you guys I was driving near last night (well this AM) on the Cross Bronx near Pelham Parkway, but I have to say - your Rebadged White Genny was nice. I really like the chrome strip at the bottom of the trunk. :)

Just saw a dark red one this morning on Nutty Brown Road, turning on to US 290. I think it was probably the fellow from Driftwood who posts here. I think he has a red one.

We have three in my subdivision of about 150 houses. There is my platinum 8, a platinum 6, and a black 8. I spoke to the lady who has the black 8 at the mailboxes the other day and she loves hers as much as I love mine.

I am the only one in the subdivision who has rebadged.

Saw a Black V6 Sedan today on HWY 10 heading West in Anoka. This is my 1st Genesis that I have seen rebadged, and probably only the 8th or 9th Genesis since the car came out. Had the wings on the wheels also.

I have seen a total of nine: 5 on the I-5 corridor Portland to Bellingham and 4 on the 405 corridor between Renton and Woodinville. this last one was spotted in the area of the Seahawks training facility and wonder if it counts??

....that is between November of '09 and today

Why is it that all the Bentleys look like their butt is dragging on the ground?

Because most of them either have dead bodies in the trunk or suitcases full of money/drugs. :D

:D I just went to "Google Images" and typed in Bentley logo. Got what I expects... a whole bunch of winged B's. Until I looked at number 22! LOL

I finally saw another Genesis here in Charlotte, a rebadged black beauty. ( I don't think the re-badge adds a thing.)
In the 19,000 miles I have driven mine, ranging from here to Florida, Arizona, Ohio and points in between, I have seen fewer than a dozen.
FYI: In an effort to improve the very firm ride, I recently lowered the tire pressures from 33 to 30 psi and learned that it did not help very much AND that the pressure in each tire is monitored separately. A cute little warning icon was displayed with each tire that had lower-than-allowed pressure flashing, flashing, flashing until it annoyed me enough to raise the pressures back to the "official" 33 psi. You can't fool Genny!

Lately, I have been seeing several a week and sometimes two or three on the same day commuting to work and back.
