  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

He Didn't Wave

He's probably still staring into the abyss like he was yesterday. Nothing against the guy, around Fort Collins on 25N, traffic speeds can hit 85MPH. "Paying attention"

HA, I tried to warn you. But for facts, look at Jackie Chan, he could pass for 40 and he's 56.

Jackie Chan's in his mid-60s...

Just a heads up from the political correctness police: Things like cars and rugs are oriental - people are asian.

I ride a motorcycle (an oriental motocycle!), and consider myself a motorcyclist rather than a "biker" (who ride Hardley Dangerouses).

Many bikers won't wave to rice rocketeers, and vice versa, and BMW riders don't wave to anyone.

It's a sore point on most motorcycle forums.

I try not to lose sleep over it.
as expense as BMWs are, to repair & service, guess they can't afford to give anything away, even a free wave.

Good eye. I swear I saw he was born in 1962.

I guess I'll go back to my original point in my first reply to this thread: Is it not possible that every single person who buys any particular type of car isn't a car guy, enthusiast, or forum nerd? Not everyone is out to pretend to be friendly with random strangers in moving traffic. Mini's, Miatas, Jeeps, Subarus, etc all have a pretty well known "wave" culture and honestly, when someone is just trying to go about their day driving whatever they felt like buying, it's kind of annoying to be "expected" to wave at strangers.
I'm not expecting people to wave. There are all kinds of drivers in the world. Someone that drives a Nissan Mirca in the U.K. is not someone you would think of as to wave to other Micra owners. When someone buys a Genesis, a car that is not known by very many people yet, they tend to be more knowledgeable when it comes to cars. That person that owns the Micra....? Probably has never heard of Bugatti, McLaren, AMC, Pagani, etc. The point is the person was probably aware but may have felt the insecurity or he was just going about his day, which is fine. Like I stated before, I'm not mad or losing sleep, just noticing and sharing with you all.
