V6 Tech here...
I rebadged the wheels, partly because I like the winged Genesis logo somewhat, but primarily because the black
wheel caps look far better than the standard silver ones.
I have no intention of rebadging the trunk. I do want people to know that I am driving a lowly Hyundai - albeit one that blows away those fine German and Japanese luxury machines.
If I were to do the rebadging, I'd have to do the whole deal. Namely,
rebadge the steering
wheel as well ($300 including a new airbag), move the Genesis
lettering to the lower left of the trunklid, and add the BH380 decal to the lower right. But even then, I'm driving a US-market Genesis that is made to look like a
KDM Genesis, rather than the genuine
KDM "BH380" with its extra bells and whistles. The license plate well alone ensures that my car is NOT a
KDM model, as the Koreans have recently switched over to European-sized license plates and the
KDM Genesis has the plate well designed for that size (and therefore different from the US-market plate well).
(Speaking of the BH380 decal, I do have it on my car - added under the Genesis
lettering.)
My goal is to keep the US-market look while hinting at elements of the
KDM model, rather than turning into a
KDM wannabe.
