If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The parts were in the noon mail. All are installed except the hood wings which I am going to do after I cool off (96 degrees out).

My "H" on the trunk came off in 3 pieces. Probably because I was rushing to get in out of the sun. Some Goof Off made short work of the residue.

The car sure looks better already. The black wheel centers really set the car off.

Anyone here that rebadged their Genesis add the 'BH380" emblem on the trunk lid and have Pics?

I have rebadged the car with the Winged emblems all around, and I just ordered the BH380 emblem. (found a good deal on ebay).

I am trying to decide whether to put the BH380 on the left side of the trunk lid, or like another poster on this thread did, put it under the Genesis emblem on the right side of the trunk lid.

I thought about ordering another "Genesis" emblem and do it like the KDM version with the Genesis on the left and the BH380 on the right, however I don't want to spend the money on an emblem I already have.

Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks for sharing your pics. Looks great! You've convinced me to badge the steering wheel also with the stick-on. I was a 'hold out' on that particular badge and know I do not want to buy the expen$ive airbag just to get the wings.

I thought about doing that but decided against it. One factor was that putting BH380 on the outside would probably confuse anyone I brought the vehicle to for service. The second was that it's not truly a KDM BH380, and a car-guy friend of mine said that pretending it was was not cool. But he's a purist. ;)

But if I were to do it, I would definitely buy another Genesis nameplate and place the two sets where they are on the KDM BH380.

Many of you that are posting have removed some or all of the OEM Hyundai badges in favor of the Genesis only badges (trunk, steering wheels, wheel caps, hood, etc.). Join in the poll ...

I did it all around. Front, back, wheel caps and the air bag unit

It makes a huge difference. Here a some pics.

I did everything on my own except the air bag. I had it installed by a dealer.

I ordered the full set of badges and hubs as soon as I walked into the house after bringing the new car home. I may still replace the small Genesis wings on the steering wheel with the new air bag cover at some point.

Last week, I happened to look down at the key fob hanging on my belt and notice the circle-H on it. The key fob normally hangs in a front pocket on a little stainless steel spring clip, but on that occasion, I had it on my belt. I took my thumbnail and removed the circle-H, leaving just two little silver spots in the depressed area. I wish I could get little sets of wings to go on the fobs.

Re: rebadging your Genesis Sedan

Hey man - did you take the wheels off and knock out those caps or is there an easier way? I don't want to remove the tires unless I have to :)

Shep

My DH is rebadging my new Genesis today! I can hardly wait. I also want to get the wheel caps, but I really like the way the notched ones look, but they are quite expensive compared to the regular one. I also still need to get the windows tinted. I've been holding out hoping Hyundai would send ME a license plate frame (as I've been reading on these posts), but I'm not holding my breath on that one. I'm also going to post a picture of my drivers side dash in my profile, I chose the saddle interior, and I love the look of the black and saddle leather together. I have less of the wood trim, but it's a sporty look and when I saw it I knew it was the interior I wanted.

I picked up my 3.8 last week. When negotiating the deal I asked that they throw in the rebadging package (steering wheel, wheels and trunk). They happily agreed. Most dealers would be happy to do that to sell a car.

I ordered the airbag sticky and the hood/trunk set and installed them this morning.

I love the look of the OEM winged airbag cover, but the oval sticky will suffice for now. I do wish the oval sticky was a matte black instead of glossy.

I installed the winged trunk emblem, but I didn't like the look of the winged hood emblem on the hood, so I don't think I'll be putting that on. I'd rather put the hood emblem on the grill facing "forward" instead of the hood facing "up", but there's no logical place for it. So into the glove box it goes.

The OEM "H" Wheel covers? They'll stay for now, they don't really bother me that much. If the price of the V8 18" covers was more reasonable I'd pull the trigger.

I ordered the set for 100 dollars on ebay... had a 50 gift certificate. Yay. Unfortunately I didn't realize how bad the wheel caps would look on my v8. I just got them, and I didn't bother putting them on. So I think I am just going to wait until I can afford the v8 model caps.

The badges look awesome though, got the wheel, trunk, and hood. Going to have them put on this week.

By the way, if anyone wants to buy a sealed, plastic still on, set of v6 wheel caps please shoot me a PM. :)

Oh man, I love the air bag. How much did that run you?

The front looks great also, I know some people don't like the front emblem but I think I will end up going for it.

I think that the front "wings" totally transform the front of the car in a good way. I was in the dealer and the car he had without the wings looked bare.
