Just got back from the dealer, the mechanic is telling me that the kplay units are the problem, because they are blocking the rf signal, I had him install the new tpms module and will relocate the kplay units at a later date and see if he is right.
Dyfyffe,
I'm having the same issues with my 2015 Genesis 5.0 Ultimate. I'm having intermittent Check TPMS errors. Sometimes everything works, other times I get the error.
I've replaced all the TPMS sensors wth OEM replacements to no avail. The tire shop indicated it took a while for the sensors to get reprogrammed.
The thing that peaked my interest was that this started happening after I got the KPlay2 and a Compustar\DroneMobile installed back in February. Zero history of this beforehand.
Perhaps the KPlay2 housing and\or wiring is blocking the signal as you indicated?
I'd appreciate hearing how your TPMS experience has been after the control unit replacement.
If that didn't help, where do you think the KPlay2 module be moved to?
