Does anyone know if you can get a HPP warranty when you purchase the car from a private individual?
You can get the HPP extended warranty regardless of where or when you purchase the car, except that the original new car warranty must be intact (5/60). However, the longer you wait, the more expensive it may be, and there may be an inspection required. Thanks that is what I suspected. You can get the HPP extended warranty regardless of where or when you purchase the car, except that the original new car warranty must be intact (5/60). There are also non-Hyundai sponsored extended warranties.
You cannot get a CPO Wrap Extended Warranty from a private seller, since a CPO must be sold by a dealer.
Bob Mayberry Hyundai in Monroe NC.
If you live in FL (a FL address), out of state dealers will not sell a warranty to you because of a quirky FL law. That means FL dealers charge more for warranties. I am not sure if FL dealers can sell warranties to an out of state address or not.

10/100/0 Platinum $1261.00 -- 07/08/2014
These are prices quoted for 2015 Genesis 5.0L Ultimate package.
10yr /100000miles /0 deductible = (10/100/0) Platinum . This is the real HMC titled "VEHICLE SERVICE AGREEMENT" and far right top of page under Hyundai logo there will be "AGREEMENT NUMBER XXXXXXXX" that is administered by Hyundai not Fidelity Warranty Service.
Fidelity also sell (they said) the same word by word agreement that they administer. Fidelity Warranty Service is owned by JM & A in Florida who also sell another agreement. Donna at Annapolis Hyundai said she sells all three. Said all three are good then she told me she bought the Hyundai agreement for her own car. Also they are given free trips (vacations) for certain volume levels.
Note these warranty are sold by the Finance Manager and they are the ones that make a commission on the sale not the car salesman. Therefore they do not care where the car was purchase so if you don't like the price you are getting call several Hyundai dealerships. You can buy this several years down the road not anything that must be done at time of sale.
I had several located in Dallas Fort Worth area that quoted me prices above the $1050 and less than the above but they did not want to be listed on this forum.
I was not able to get any one of them to acknowledge what their real cost was. From a few comments several made I suspect that the $1050 cost figure floating around has about $250 worth of overhead included. Fact- Car dealership total profit, 15% is from sales of these extended agreements.
Is this worth the cost? If you are my age too old to work on cars then several repairs garages charge more for struts replacement than a good cost for this agreement. So you be the judge.
Hope this helps someone.
Sounds good. Does the warranty coverage stop at 75k miles?Purchased a 7yr 75k from Jerry's Hyundai for $1710 for my 2015 Genesis 5.0l. Worked with Brannon. It's a HPP-Platinum.

You may want to check with other dealers. It is my understanding that any F&I person can make you an offer on a Hyundai backed service contract.
If you do decide to go third party, check with SafeGuard or Endurance. Can't remember whom manages the USAA contract, but I have a number of negative reviews.
I tried to buy a 2015 Genesis Sedan 3.8L AWD Tech Package 33k miles and the platinum warranty cost was $1,939 for 10yr/120k/0 deductible.Mine was 10/120/0. Or it might have been 10/100/0. Didn't get that far into it.
I just got off the phone with Hyundai corperate and they said that the extended warranty Hyundai provides for the Gold/Platinum WRAPs are provided by SafeGuard.
I tried to buy a 2015 Genesis Sedan 3.8L AWD Tech Package 33k miles and the platinum warranty cost was $1,939 for 10yr/120k/0 deductible.
The finance guy showed me his cost for the gold was $1439 and the platinum was $1739.
I bought my 2015 Genesis 3.8L AWD Ultimate Package from Liberty Hyundai with Platinum HPP warranty for $1490. 10yr/100k/0 deductibleCan I ask where you got it? I might give him a call....

Uhh...wait a minute here...You guys paid around $1500 for the 10yr/100k extended warranty!?!? Sounds like I got robbed at $2315.....for the same thing for my 2015 AWD V6 Ultimate Genesis.. Wonder if it's too late to get that money back.....that's not cool at all.. I should also note that it wasn't HPP coverage but a competing vendor that they were also selling for that he said was significantly better than HPP, but that was the same cost for either coverage option.
I was quoted over $2500 on my 2015 3.8 AWD Ultimate - so I passed as I had read here that you can get MUCH better deals! I'll likely buy from one of the above links if my dealer won't price match. Thanks for the info/contacts!
