Just traded in the 2009 Genesis for a 2013 Equus Signature on Friday. The Equus has a very definite more luxurious feel and a much smoother ride.
I bought it from the Rick Case Dealer (Ft. Lauderdale) I had said I would never set foot in again when they tried to screw me when I bought the Genesis a little over four years ago. Needless to say I had a better experience this time. On my way home from the dealer I couldn't find the voice control button and was sure they had for some reason removed it from the Equus. Finally found it the next morning. It's on the underside of the steering wheel like a paddle shifter rather then on the front side facing the driver. The car came with the Equus symbol on the trunk instead of the flying H. I don't know if the dealer replaced it or if the 2013s are now coming without the Flying H anywhere. So far I am really impressed with the car. I was actually a little hesitant to get rid of the Genesis because it has been the most reliable car I've ever had. I still have the most unreliable and most expensive car I've ever had, 1996 BMW 850 Ci.

Congratulations!! Why not post a picture or two of your new beauty. I had the dealer take the flying H off the trunk and add the Korean badge as well as adding the hood ornament in the front before I even took possession. Both look much better. What color did you select?

I will try to post a few pics at some point. I once tried to post some pics of an accident to the Genesis and couldn't figure out how to do it. So we'll see.

It is black with cashmere interior.

I have discovered that the manual does not tell you where the voice control and the lane departure warning system are but I have figured out where they are. Since I put just over 13,000 mile on the Genesis in 4 years and 2 plus months who knows if I will ever use the lane departure warning.

I have driven it very little so far but I can say this is definitely the nicest car I have ever had. It makes the 1997 BMW 740 Il I had look down right cheap.

Gorgeous!! Congratulations! Mine is the same color, with black leather. I also added the winged hood ornament. It gets lots of attention. I, too, think its the best car I have had!

Mine came with the hood ornament. I have seen so few of these cars that I thought they all had the hood ornament. I see more Bentleys around here than Equuis.

Steven, I live in Wilton Manors a couple of blocks from Wilton Station. I have seen a white one and a black one (maybe two) around. A day or two ago I was pulling out of the 7 eleven on 26th Street and a white one pulled out of the lot at the Old Florida Sea Food House onto 26th Street just ahead of me.

Saturday while out, we saw 4 white Equuses (or is tht Equui ?), one with winged ornament and 1 black Equus. Must be in the influx of snow birds.

My office is on 26th Street west of Dixie, so you would see the car pass by Wilton Station a few times per day.

Just picked up the 2013 Equus ultimate in titanium/black combo. Put the winged emblem on hood. Getting way too many looks and questions.

Just picked up a Black Noir and Cashmere 2012 Signature. I'd like to put the Korean badge on the rear and the winged emblem on the hood. I'm also thinking about removing the equus badging on the left of the trunk.

I just picked up a 2012 Signature in Platinum w/ Black interior this weekend. So far, I am loving the car. I went to the Hyundai dealership to test drive a new 2013 Genesis and the 2012 Equus was sitting out front and almost 20k off sticker (car is in pristine condition, local owner, 18k miles). Once I test drove the Equus, my mind was made up, never drove the Genesis. Love the size and power from the V8. Traded in my 2006 Toyota Avalon which I really loved, but no looking back.

Traded my 2010 Genesis for my new 2013 Equus Signature. She's a beauty and I couldn't be more excited to have the most elegant, technologically advanced, beautiful, powerful vehicle available! Badged only with Equus wings and crowned with a striking winged hood ornament she is a site to behold.

With a big smile on my face, I am proud say I am a Hyundai Equus owner. She is a 2012 black on black signature. Had her for a week today. Swapped out the badge for the wings as well as the rear badge. Tinted the windows and Monday hard wiring the radar detector. I have owned a LS430 and 745iL, but this seems to fit the bill. Glad to be a part of the Equus crew.

Just got 2013 Equus Ultimate in White with Cashmere interior (Was looking for Saddle but couldn't find any with the dealers around me).

I must say, best car so far that I have owned. The rear first class seat is awesome. The coolbox is very useful especially with my 17 month old.

The dealer had 8K miles on it (demo model), got it under 50K. Just did a 500 mile trip on it, the adaptive cruise control works great. All in all, very satisfied with the buy.

Well we finally did it; I got the car of my dreams. We purchased a 2011 CPO Black on Cashmere Equus. We love the car and it looks good next to my 2009 Genesis Titanium on Black. I say we but actually my wife liked my Gen so much the Equus was the natural next step. She is a beauty the car I mean and it has all the toys that I wanted (Hope she lets me drive it ). But we really love the car.
