  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

There was a thread on here, but I can't seem to find it. I bought the winged cap assembly wheel hubs just to save money because I saw a thread mentioning all you had to do was take out the original ones and heat them in an oven for the flying H to pop out.
Can't find that thread anymore.
Help!

You can use a heat gun or hair dryer to seperate the OEM caps and the sticky tape should still be good. Also use the dryer or heat gun to seperate the new winged emblems.

Also want to replace the oem center H logos with winged emblems purchased on ebay. Can't figure out how to remove the center wheel caps so I can "pop them in the oven".
Tried with a screwdriver inserted into the slot, but it wouldn't give. Was afraifd I would bend the cap if I applied to much pressure, Funny, can't find anything in the owner's manual. After all, to remove the tires, you have to first remove the wheel caps. Appreciaste some advice.

Look on the wheel closely and you'll notice a little knotched out spot next to the cover where you can stick a flat head screwdrive etc.
