  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Names “Best Deal for the Boss” By Cars.Com
12/02/2010 16:04

The Genesis Sedan was named “Best Deal for the Boss” in the Cars.com annual Best Lifestyle Vehicle Awards.

This award recognizes the Hyundai Genesis as the vehicle best suited to meet the lifestyle needs of “the boss” including luxury features, driving refinement, styling and prestige all in an affordable package.

“It's a rear-wheel-drive full-size sedan that offers a luxurious, spacious cabin and V-6 and V-8 drivetrains that are notable for their efficiency and performance,” said Cars.com editors. “The Genesis comes standard with eight airbags and a stability system to help protect occupants, and it's available with convenience features like a 17-speaker audio system. On the whole, the Genesis does a remarkable job at delivering the experience of a high-end luxury sedan at a much lower price.”

"The Cars.com Lifestyle Awards recognize new vehicles that best suit the lifestyles of today’s car shoppers, and acknowledge the best cars across a number of categories that car shoppers can identify with based on their personal vehicle needs," Hyundai informed.

Your life must be so empty that you have nothing better to do than troll this site.

Mods: Can we ban him please?

I truly cannot fathom why anyone would even think of wanting to limit another freedom of expression and why tell someone their life is empty. You have no idea of who you are even addressing. They may be a Nobel Prize winner.

His goal, much like yours, is to be disruptive. He adds no value to this site.

And if he's a Nobel Prize Winner, then I'm Oprah Winfrey.

Hi Op-rah I understand you are quitting the show.

My technical contributions to the forum have been significant.

My honesty and consistency should be apparent.

My goal always the same: To assist in helping the brand to improve and that is done by point out where it needs improvement and try to provide potential methods to help.

If truth and free speech are disruptive then I guess that is what makes America the greatest country on earth.

I try to not be a party of Pollyanna but be a party of truth.

I try my best to contribute automotive experience to meld in with those who have the same insights.

My experience with the car is what it is and not much can be done about it.

I have discussed areas ranging from eliminating the initial agreement notice of the NAV screen to sound systems, to suspension systems and many in between. I ask questions about lighting to even what trolling meant. I did not initiate the comment about the 'BOSS' or yours about having the poster banned. I do feel that such a request is extreme and also reputed the posters motives without any first hand knowledge of his motives for a fact.

I will say it again for the umpteenth time I love the forum and the most all of the things about the car. It is a great car, but the perfect car has yet to be built. I want to help both be the best they can.

Please take this response in the spirit of asking for reflection on your feelings about the car and the company which I respect and truly believe they are very strongly felt. And to give others some of your patience for their feelings and try and refrain from impunging that their motives are any less good as I feel yours are. :grouphug:

Well, the moderator of a BBS or Internet forum does not give you the "right" to free speech as these are private entities.....

HOWEVER - I do agree with you - a little bit of dissension is always good and allows free minded individuals to explore both ends of the spectrum shall we say....

As a new owner of a 2010 V-8 Genesis I am quite pleased. The audio system is awesome (although it could be just a little louder) - the "park and hold" feature - I really like and the adaptive radar cruise control is a technological marvel.

On my 27th day of ownership I recently took a trip to Jerome,AZ from Scottsdale, AZ. The HIGH SPEED driving experience is awesome - did get the car to 110 mph for a few seconds (passing some trucks) and the stability and trackability of the automobile is unbelievable.

Taking curves at 80-90 mph you felt totally safe and in control (assuming you DO know how to drive). Playing driving tag with a Beamer it was fun.

Transmission did a great job!

This automobile is simply AWESOME for the price. Various differences from model year 2009 to 2010 are subjective to the owners.

Get in touch with me and I'll let you take my 2010 V-8 for an extended "test" drive.

It's better than a FORD (Found On The Road Dead or Fix or Repair Daily) - from MANY years ago in my early adulthood.

Or....Fu*ked Up ol' Rotton Dodge!!!:D:D

The bottom line is that while no manufacturer will ever be perfect, Hyundai is very hard to argue against in terms of overall value proposition right now (across their entire line).

I took a look at the new Tucson the other day, and was really impressed. Hoping to look at a 2011 Sonata soon as well. Based on the direction Hyundai is moving, and how satisfied we are with them so far, I am really left scratching my head as to why any value conscious consumer, looking to purchase a new car, would buy anything other than a Hyundai, provided that Hyundai had an entry in the segment they were shopping.

Brand stigma. It's that simple. Even though the "econobox" profile hasn't been true for maybe the past 8-10 years, it's been a long hill for Hyundai to climb.

Agree 100%. I guess I am making the assumption that brand conscious and value conscious are at least somewhat exclusive in this case.

Well where I work I am the boss and my company car is a 2011 4.6 Genesis

First foreign car in the history of this company of 45 years and over 200 cars
