  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Picked up my Genesis with the Signature package! Caspian black with tan interior. If you can believe it its better than I thought it would be.
Paid over MSRP by $1600.

I also asked for the wings on the trunk and they'll install it for me in about 2 weeks.

Here's a link to my pics: http://postimg.org/gallery/2zet6blo/

V6? V8?

Now you can change your profile...it says you currently don't own one. I presume you know how to resize the pic you took of the car but if not, send it over to me and I'll be happy to do it for you.

Congrats to you!

Where on the trunk are you planning to have the wings installed?

How about no fog lamps on a v6 ??? On any package sucks

It should fit in the same holes as the flying H. But 2015 wings are a little different size, so not 100% sure.

The wings are simply added to the same holes once the flying H on the trunk is removed. As mentioned there is a design change and a fitment change for the 2015 model year so you do need to purchase the correct ones if you want it to fit and match. For the newcomers, this part is KDM (Korean Domestic Market) so it was made for the Genesis by Hyundai and is on the cars sold in Korea. Here is the one I purchased. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271429095520?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

So am I correct in understanding that the Hyundai logo is removed and the wings then are replaced where the logo now currently resides?

Exactly. ;)

So is Ebay the best place to find these? I do see the pic now of where the wings are placed and they do look much better. It showed in the picture for the one you ordered what looked to be some kind of tape backing? How is it attached (aside from sticking the pegs through the holes and is it easy to also remove the Hyundai logo off the car?

For the DIY person yes ebay. Most dealer will also do this for you but do expect to pay about $100+. Pretty simple, I warm the old emblem up with a hot air gun, once really hot you can peel it off but do be careful as you can burn your fingers. Once off you need to get the remaining residue off with goo gone or lighter fluid. The old one is fastened the same way as the new one. Pegs line it up and sticky tape does the rest. Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol and then apply.

There are probably at least a thousand posts on this subject in this forum, some with video's and/or pics. You can use google or forum search to find them. Just remember that the 2015 wings are different (larger) than previous year's.

In Korea, Middle East, and Russia, the Genesis is not sold as a Hyundai brand and there is no H badge on them, and never has been one. It is sold as a Genesis brand (sort of like Lincoln brand in the US, that is part of Ford Motor Company).

I don't know about Korea or the Middle East, but Russia definitely uses the Hyundai brand and flying H.
