  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone :)

I'm Dr Tweak, of Phoenix Tuning ( http://www.phoenixtuning.com/ ) and I just wanted to drop in to introduce myself.

Over the past several years we have busy doing performance work and engine swaps on Toyota cars and trucks, which you can see if you check out our website. In recent years though, Toyota has saddened me with their lack of any decent performance platforms or engines.

When I saw the Genesis prototype last year it really piqued my interest. Then when the information about the turbo engine came out, that really caught my attention. The plan aren't set in stone, but I'm seriously thinking about picking up a Coupe as soon as they come out, and working on some upgrades for us.

Some things that come to mind that I would do right away:

- Stainless steel mandrel bent tig-welded exhaust
- Downpipe
- High-density core intercooler upgrade
- True cold-air intake
- Stainless steel braided hoses and lines for everything
- Bolt-on turbo upgrade
- Bolt-on turbo and manifold upgrade
- Whatever else you guys would like to see

Well that's about it, if anyone has any questions feel free to reply to this thread, PM, or email me at drtweak@phoenixtuning.com , I'm looking forward to some exciting times ahead! :)

Welcome to the site! Those are some awesome swaps you guys did. I'm pretty stoke about this coupe myself! Cant wait till March!! :D:D

Thanks :) One other thought I've had is swapping the 4.6 liter Tau engine into the coupe, that might be cool... :)

What would it take to do that?

I don't know, I haven't laid eyes on the car or the engine yet! :D

But I imagine some customs mounts possibly, and maybe a little modification to the placement of some engine bay items, then figure out what transmission to go with.... *gets mad scientist goggles out*

Sounds very interesting! I'd LOVE to see a V8 Genesis Coupe...

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I think to put s/c or a turbo on the 3.6 engine would make more sense than the 4.6 engine swap. As it said before the weight ratio would be off also with the so much money involved with the swap and fabrication.

really stoked about this ride.. cant wait till it hits the streets...

I am excited also...might have found a suitable replacement for my SRT-4.

nada...what's going on with you?

just watched the Cards win... now the AFN switched it over to the Stealers game without me touching the remote WOOOT

yeah...I'm watching that game also...the Steelers better win...LOL

This might also be a replacement to the srt ... or an addition.

I'm thinking addition....I refuse to buy a first year release of any car...I want all the bugs worked out first.
