  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When I feel my buttons (okay, that sounds weird!) they just don't feel cold enough to be metal. Not that plastic is bad.

Guess they could be polished steel with wood inlays...

^can you take a pic?

See pics...first one is passenger window, obviously the worst. Hard to see it as well on the other two but the mirror direction pad is faded all in the center with the original color on the edges.

The first one was easy to spot. The rest were difficult to tell of what you'd described.
It's possible that some abrasive chemical cleaner could have been used by dealership's detailer?
If it's not that bad then I would not worry about it. Otherwise you may bring it back to the dealership and file a complaint.

This may help...zoomed in on my pic and screenshot it lol. Either way yea I'll get them "fixed" by the dealer.

Is there a hidden warranty for nitpick stuff rather than the manufacturers defects? Like at what point would they be able to claim that as ME doing that to the switches rather than it being delivered (to me) that way?

Finally sent the car in to have them fix this issue Monday night. Received a 2019 Santa Fe as my loaner since my dealership doesn't have any genesis vehicles in their loaner fleet yet (service lady said its like pulling teeth to get them). Fine with me as I had never driven one, though it's obviously quite boring. Got a call from them at 5PM yesterday (24 hrs after dropping it off) only for them to tell me that they looked at it and found it odd, never seen it before, and that they called the service hotline for assistance and were directed to a Genesis specialist or rep or something of that sort to give them direction on what to do. Long story short, they wasted a whole day just to make a phone call and I will be getting an update today if they keep their word. Not a bad experience yet, but kind of odd to me that they need to bring in a specialist to give direction on fixing or replacing door controls. There are only two options in my mind... either find a way to repair the factory ones or replace them.
