  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Well I signed the papers, they have to clean it all up since it just came in this afternoon. They let me play with it for awhile anyways. I still can't believe how fast and agile it is! For perspective, I am used to a 2009 Altima with a 4 cylinder.

3.8 RWD Signature Package, Black exterior, Beige interior (see attached pic). MSRRP $43,850 and paid $38,768 minus trade-in. Not a bad deal, and it looks gorgeous. I'm really digging the HID headlights, LED fog lights, and LED DRL. I hadn't realized the DRLs are the LED trim around the headlights, but I love it. I'm glad I waited for the 2016. Also, the ride was very smooth, no vibrations.

Still need to get the windows tinted, the rear Genesis badge installed, and the protective film put on, which will all be done by Monday.

Thanks to this group for all the info that led me to this purchase!

Congrats on your purchase! The LED DRLs and the fog lights make that front end look so sweet. I'm jealous my 2015 doesn't have those. Dammit.

I know you've got to be thinking to yourself, "Finally!!!" Congrats on the new ride!!

Congrats ! The LED around the headlights is the same as the 2015 right? Or am I missing something? It is nice to see the fogs are available for the V6

They are the same but the 2016 uses them as the drls instead of the orange lights on the inside. The 2015s the leds are off during the day

Same LED around the headlights - but it's also the DRL on the 2016!

Ahh. Now I need to get a hold of one to see what they did to change it.

Different electronic control module and wiring harness with a DRL specific lead - 2015's send the DRL signal down the turn signal lead. It does not appear to be possible on a 2015 without major changes from what I looked into.

You are right now that I think about it. I remember when I installed my fog and I was looking for a good lead I was confused for a second. Then I figured that it is probably electronically control and use the same lead.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I would think making the LEDs on when the key is on would be fairly straight forward. The trick would be how to change the DRLs just to come on with the turn signal. One possibility would be to run a wire from the rear turn signal, but I am not sure if that would work. Ideas anyone?

Congrats. I've been to 4 different SoCal dealers and not one seem to know when they will be getting their allotment of '16's in. I'm chomping at the bit to pull the trigger on a V6 Ultimate (now that they come with fogs and no orange DRL's).

The wait is killing me!!

Careful, once the LED surround fad reaches maximum saturation soon, the orange DRL will be the new retro rage and everyone will be adding aftermarket versions ;)

Congratulations! Gotta ask: Do you have the 9.2" screen or the 8"? Is it Android Auto capable? The 2015's still haven't gotten Android Auto capability or Apple Car Play. So I was wondering if they managed to get it in the new models. Thanks.

Thanks. Me, too. My contact over there, Ricky Lao, has stopped responding to my e-mails for an update. I think we are screwed.

The 2016 LED's are evidently brighter however - not sure if that's the bulbs or what.

I'd guess the circuit changes the current when running in DRL mode (more current) versus parking light mode. I don't think the headlights themselves are any different for 2016 - just how they are wired and controlled.
