  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just received my Genesis license plate frame from Hyundai!

PS ctrcbob-YES I AGREE W/YOU I THINK YOU SHOULD KEEP YOUR CURRENT LIC. PLATE AND I ALSO THANK YOU FOR YOUR PAST SERVICE!

ok...IM JEALOUS!!! I WANT ONE...and I WANT IT NOW! (Veruka Salt...Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory)

I came home from work today and found a white padded envelope waiting. One "GENESIS 2009 North American Car of the Year" lic plate frame. :)

I filled out the JD Power Initial Quality Survey about a month ago; I've had my Genesis since April 2nd. So I guess my frame came a bit quicker than some other folks; that tells me it's a recent program from Hyundai. Some other owner satisfaction survey, from a group I've never heard of, showed up about a week ago; I haven't done a thing with that.

The lic plate frames, and Hyundai's willingness to install the trunk liner on early V-6 models, tells me Hyundai wants to encourage owners to spread the word. After all, the best/most trusted advertising is word-of-mouth from satisfied customers.

Out of curiosity, did anyone who DIDN'T fill out that survey receive a frame?

I received the frame yesterday. I did not complete J.D. Powers survey that was sent to me a couple months ago, but I think this must somehow be tied to J.D. Powers since both of them addressed me as John, and my first name is not John. Weird.

I got the frame yesterday. Looks nice. I filled out the JD Power, Auto Pacific and one from another company whose name I forget.

Yes, yesterday. I completed the JDP survey, but never mailed it. I also received a survey from another company and threw it away.
This plate is beautiful!!!

Good to know...thanks. Hopefully mine will arrive soon.

I got mine today. It is much nicer looking that the one the dealer put on when we first got the car. This is another nice gesture from Hyundai to go along with the $50 certificate that they sent several months ago towards any service or parts that I might need.

hyundai genesis license plate frame in my mail box

Now i know some of you have already recieved your license plate frame in the mail , well i recieved mines today & i must say as much as i like chrome "i really do like this frame" but hyundai isnt paying me any endorsement fees at all. Now every day i tell all sorts of people who question me about my 4.6 w/ tech package , all about this car from the outside to the inside & of course all that i have done to the car since i bought the car ( key word= i bought )
meaning it wasnt giving to me for free , which if it was i wouldnt have a problem sticking a frame on my car saying genesis 2009 NORTH AMERICAN CAR OF THE YEAR, but since im paying this note $$$ Hyundai has to come at me better then giving me a license plate frame to tease some BMW owners behind me, im teasing them already by them not knowing what im driving, they all drive along side me & ask me to roll down my windows to which some i do & some i dont. Hyundai ( VP ) if your out there & listening or reading try offering me what i really want, TO GET THIS BROWN LEATHER OFF OF MY DASH & DOOR PANELS it doesnt match anything, i rather it be BLACK or WOOD

than i would be happy & be willing to even let u put my car in one of your commercials :-)

Re: hyundai genesis license plate frame in my mail box

Did you request the plate? Or was it just random? Did you complete the survey?

Re: hyundai genesis license plate frame in my mail box

i think u can tell from my post that i didnt request it, i completed jd power survey & about 2 other surveys for the hyundai genesis, hope that doesnt mean i'll be getting some more of these thing because if i do they will go where this is going on my wall in my garage

Re: hyundai genesis license plate frame in my mail box

I got a license plate cover in the mail also. I like it but won't be putting it on b/c I already have a chrome metal cover with no writing on it that looks perfect with the rear of the car. I think it was a nice gesture but even nicer would be knocking $10/month off the old monthly $$ with proof of having it installed ;-)

Mine arrived yesterday! What a great way to both connect with your owners and create a marketing buzz at the same time ... Hyundai Marketing, I'm impressed!

Got 1 2. Thanks Hyundai.

You guys are SOOOO lucky in the US. Hyundai Canada told me they have no such promotion for Canadian Genesis owners!

I spoke to Hyundai this morning. They knew nothing about who was sending out these holders. Say they had "Heard" about some but could not helpme. Said, if I did not receive one by the end of july to call again.

I also asked where the Eaquis were being displaied, again they knew nothing. Only saying it was NOT a USA car and they couldnot tell why it would be shown.
I only mention this because it further shows that Hyundai USA has a lot ofcatching up to do in regards to high end customer service!!

I am fairly certain that they will be shipped to all Hyundai Genesis owners in the US (nothing to do with surveys). Some people who only recently purchased a Genesis may have to wait a little bit until HMA gets their name and address from the dealers, and then they "may" only send out new ones in batches at some time intervals.

But I am sure that if someone really wants one (who didn't get one) they could pay a member of this forum the shipping/postage and get one. I am not going to install mine (already have a chrome license plate holder).

I bought my Genesis back in September 2009. I got my license plate frame on Wednesday. It is a very nice gesture from Hyundai, even though it is more advertising for them.
