I bought my Genesis in August of 2008 and haven't received a license plate holder, but if a Hyundai VP is out there listening or reading, THANK YOU for the gorgeous brown leather accents in the black interior Genesis. It is most attractive and distinctive. I would not have wanted the common and blase all black interior. Thank you for this touch of styling excellence!

Bought my Gene on July 29 and even talked a friend into buying one in September. That should certainly qualify me for the car of the year plate but it has not yet arrived.

Any Hyundai reps reading this? Is this a random thing? If I am getting one eventually then I will wait. Otherwise I will buy one offered here - please advise.

I contacted Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. requesting information about the procedure to follow to obtain the Genesis licence plate frames and was told that" The accessory you speak of was provided by Hyundai Motor America in the United States and is not affiliated with Hyundai Auto Canada. We apologize for any inconvenience.

GOOD NEWS

After viewing Dataguy's post dated July 1st. 2009, showing the new 2009 Genesis licence plate frame along with the letter he received from the Vice President of Marketing, Hyundai Motor America, I took note of the name and decided to write him a letter.

On September 4th. 2009, I wrote a letter to Mr. Joel Ewanick, Vice President of Marketing in California, requesting a 2009 Genesis Licence plate frame with the 2009 North American Car of the Year wording.

I explained to him that I was a Canadian and that I had written to Hyundai Auto Canada to request that licence frame. I was informed by Hyundai Canada that it was a promotional item sent to the U.S. Genesis customers only.

I never heard anything further ....until today that is.

Today, December 15th. 2009, I received the Genesis licence plate frame via airmail that I had requested.

The accompanying letter was signed by Mr. Alex Perez, Executive Communications, Hyundai Motor America.

He advised that my letter to Mr. Ewanick was forwarded to him.

He also stated that the Genesis licence plate frames were a promotional item sent to U.S. customers and that due to a limited supply, these licence plate frames are no longer available.
However...they did locate one additional licence plate frame and they forwarded it to me.

This licence plate frame was valued at $15.00 when it went through the Canadian Customs and it cost Hyundai a little over $10.00 to forward it to me.

So Hyundai Motor America spent $25.00 in all to get this licence plate frame to me.

I am writing all this to show that it would appear the Hyundai Corporation is willing to help its customers when it is possible.

I am very please with this outcome.....THANKS HYUNDAI MOTOR AMERICA.

License plate holders

Has anyone found anything that would fill in the space on the front license plate holder?
I live in PA and we only use a back plate. The front looks 'dumb' with an empty holder in place, and I need to leave that to hide the holes that are there. They appear unattractive to me.
I have done a web search and found nothing on my own,

My dealer hasn't had any Genesis tag frames come in since I bought my 2015.
I went and bought a tag frame on Amazon that is exactly like shown here and it isn't for Florida tags. It obstructs the bottom of the tag where the county is displayed. It would surely get you a citation for obstructed tag.

Anybody in Florida know where I can get a proper Genesis frame for a Florida tag?
