KDM LED headlight question

Maybe replacment AFLS unit to 2012 model will help?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
This doesn't look like an easy fix...

My friend also purchased this headlight and faced the same issue with you, from the sound seems to korean have fixed the issue, their replaced headlight AFLS works well, and they couldn't share with us, even though we are customer who purchased this, so if you have priviledge access this korean club http://genesisclub.or.kr/bbs/zboard.php?id=gallery#, try to find answer on this.

I found this picture but don't understand korean, help to help you.

Aznwill,

How is the light output compared to stock? Are you getting enough down-road lighting/distance out of them or are the stock HIDs better? Do they blind oncoming drivers?

I'm interested in a set of these to replace the lights on my 2012 premium, so I don't have the AFLS anyway.

Thanks

I personally don't have any problem with the lights. It feels brighter, but the distance might be a little bit shorter. I haven't have any one flash me from the oncoming traffic so I don't think it blinds oncoming drivers.

And what about high beams, they are HID or not? KAI has information on their site that led lights is coming with hid ballast and i curious about for what reason they are included?

After speaking with KAI about the Prada headlights over the past few weeks, I found out that the actual headlights (low beam) are not LED lights. The headlights are HIDs, hence why they come with the HID ballasts and bulbs. The HID light is projected through 4 smaller projectors instead of one round one.

The LED part of the name refers to the LED accent lighting, not the actual light output. The high beams are halogen, just like stock.

Oh...fake led lights in fake mercedes, korean style lol) so its only matter of style, not light output( i hopped that output light temperature will change to 5K like on audi with leds. KAI changed name (and add hid blocks to inbox contains) of the part now its HID but when I ordered it was only prada led headlight so I think they change name after you contact them or maybe when they received my headlights...pitty they cant ship to Ukraine so if somebody want to buy those, you can do it at Kia and you will receive you order in no time, because this is special order item (3-6 weeks),and now they had one right in their office.

So today I received headlights from SFR,and low beam is real led, with cooler fan inside and without HID bulb. So KAI is wrong. I will install those tomorrow, and maybe my electric guy will figure out, how to activate AFSL.

Does anyone know if the Genesis Sedan Prada Edition HID LED DRL Headlights that KOREAN AUTO IMPORTS is selling fits a 2009 Genesis 4.6

I just received my KDM "Prada" LED for my 2012 5.0 R-spec. Getting them installed today, hoping my installer has some luck with the AFLS.
Does anyone have that working yet???
Also getting the rear cat-deletes, and fitting some wheel spacers (15 & 20mm) on as well.
Will post some updates and pics soon.

There is no solution in the Internet but as my electric guy says its matter of two wires, that they need to swap places, but they don't know which one ( they have scheme of hid lights, but dont for LED because they goes only to Korean domestic market, and scheme is on Korean service site, which they can't access, maybe you dealer can or if your electrician guy will be more brave, they will gave an answer )

Today with electric guy we inspected PRADA Led headlight, and inside we didn't find mechanical part which moves headlight lamps horizontally for afls, inside there is only vertical corrector which is working well as we know. So I think there are no afls system in led prada lights at all, and even pin on plug that comes to headlight with data about afls is absent. Sad but true.

I bought some KDM HID headlights without AFLS. My car has AFLS though, any fix to get the AFLS light off of my dash?

the samething as me experienced. You can find safe box under the left of steering wheel, ask delaer to fix the AFLS flicker. BTW, I have migrated the old AFLS bracket to the new one, and it's work well.

It's named full-adaptive LED headlights. You can accomplish the same function even more to AFLS, like below pics.

I have asked some Korean, he said that we need re-arrange the wiring , but he refuse to tell details. I found below pics , maybe helpful, Goodluck !

I found hundai make two difference LED headlight, one for prada(part number: 92101 3M410, 92102 3M410 ) and one for general(part number: 92101 3M400 92101 3M400), the two version looks have the same appearance, I guess the one for general maybe fit.

If you remove fuse auto leveling will be switched off too!(
