If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Installed LED H11, H7 & H8 Light bulbs. Looks great! Cree Led 80 watt output 6000k. The Led light's look great. The only issue I have are the projector low beams. The Led bulbs do not illuminate as bright as the others because of the projector lens. The fog lights help alot during night driving. So I have the fogs on at all time. The combination of the low beam, fogs and led strip looks great together! The DRL led looks great as well.

Very nice! Can you get yellow fog lamps, I think that would look different to what we see now days?

I, too, tried a LED low beam conversion on my earlier G8 with similar results and ultimately went to a 5000K HID kit. You need all the light you can get. Good HID kits can be had for under a hundred bucks and put out an amazing amount of light.

I am interested in the high wattage Cree DRL replacements. Where did you find 80 watt H7 Cree LEDs? One question, what happens when you turn on the high beams?

As for the fogs, I am using H8 yellow bulbs I found at Amazon. The distinctive color works well at night in the rain and has that old-school look on normal nights.

Please share the info on the DRLs.

You need to take those HIDs out. Your car is a mobile road hazard with them. We've already established that Genesis halogen headlights get terrible results with an HID kit in them.

Actually, your vision is worse, not better with what you're doing. You don't want bright fog lights because too much light in incremental weather is a bad thing. Also you are under the impression that fog lamps are auxiliary lights for you low beams, they are not. Fog lamps and driving lights are completely different purposes and thus the optics put out light in very different ways. In running bright lights in your fogs and having them on in clear weather, you're actually reducing your night vision, not helping it. In making the foreground lighter are your hurting your ability to see down the road, where it actually matters, because you're eyes are adjusting to the wide pool of short-range bright light you are putting out. By the time your LED foglights actually light up something on the road, at any road going speed it's already too late to avoid hitting it.

If you go on ebay look up 80 watt Cree H7 bulbs. "80 watt" gives the appearance of an 80 watt bulb by using 16 total cree led chips. When I turn on the high beam it lights up brigher than the drl but I don't know if they are brighter than the stock h7 bulbs. The DRL look' s great in the day time!

Everything you say makes sense. As for now I'm happy. Hopefully there aren't any people running around on the freeway. :/ Love the led look.

Selling h7 "50 watt " led Cree bulbs and h8 led smd bulbs. Have it posted in the markerplace. $30 and there yours. I have no need for them. Brand new never used. Fyi.

Any danger of those bulbs melting your wiring or housing?

None whatsoever. They actually run on 6 watts / 12 volts, lower than halogens. I drive with my fog lights on at night knowing I'm not using up more gas compared to having the halogen bulbs.

After driving with the H11 low beam for about a month. My conclusion is that they are not as bright as i want them to be. The fog lights are bright but not the low beam. May get HID set up.

Just installed h11 35w canbus HID's for low beam. Much better light output!!! Light output is night and day compared to the led h11 low beams. Led's are ok for the DRL's and fog lights but do not recommend them for low beam usage. FYI.
