1: Pull out the spare tire cover carpetI’d love to know how to access it
Be prepared to replace at least one of the push-on plastic clips. Even with tools that get under the head of the clips, they still break or shear off easily. These days most auto parts stores carry some of the common clips. I busted several getting the trunk side panel off but have not replaced them just yet.1: Pull out the spare tire cover carpet
2: undo the 2 10mm bolts and 2 plastic plugs holding in the trunk latch cover plastic, and remove that piece.
3: undo the 2 Phillips head screws and 10mm but holding the carpet cover to the right of the battery
4: remove 3 plastic plugs and 1 plastic knob holding the carpetted side panel on.
5: pull the rubber weather stripping up on the top of the trunk and unclip(push up and to the rear) on the 3 metal clips holding the top trim on
6: pull down on the top trim, and use clip removal tools to remove the clips from it, and pull it down
7: you should now be able to wiggle and pull the passenger trim cover off exposing the amp.
Would you mind resending the PM with the attachment and how to access the amp. I have to replace mine in a 2012 Genesis. The amp is behind the battery, below the passenger side hinge for the trunk. It's inside the liner of the trunk. I sent you a PM, with the attachment on how to access it, cheers.
