2015 5.0 CPO car, bought end of July '18, has 34k miles on it now (put 6k on it in 7 months).
1.
Apple CarPlay does not work right. Phone won't stay connected, different cables, iPhones, just does what it wants. Sometimes will work all day, sometimes it'll work for 5 minutes and disconnect, sometimes will cancel the connection immediately, sometimes unplugging/replugging multiple times gets it to work. Who knows? It's a mystery to me. Been to the service department a half dozen times, they want to charge me $320 to replace the USB and power socket assembly. Got Hyundai involved, and they're completely worthless. See #2.
2. 2015 electronics warranty SUCKS. It's only like 2-3 years or something stupid.
3. Fuel module quit working one day. Had to be towed (warranty)
4. Sunroof wasn't closing, apparently gunk stuck in there. Cost $105 to "clean it" of leaves and debris.
5. Shift indicator plastic has bubbles.
6. B-pillars oxidizing. Service tech says this is a warranty fix, just bring it in anytime. Haven't done so yet.
7. Sunroof creaks sometimes.
8. There's a very faint rattle coming from somewhere on the passenger side, but only occasionally.
That said, love the car. It's fast as hell, especially on a roll. Good looking car but sometimes I'll see a Sonata at a distance and think it's a Genesis, too. Would I buy another? Don't know because I am not crazy about how they've handled this
CarPlay thing. If I can afford an S63 sedan, that's what I'm going with. But it should tell you something that the only sedan I'd be ever interested in beside this Genesis is a MB S63.
