  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Got this response today: (the guys at peddler are the best in customer service!)

XXXX,

Production ETA is now showing 6/9. As soon as it becomes available we will pick up and ship the same day and forward you the tracking information via email. I’ve had a guy waiting on this kit since February and a couple other orders as well, so I’m all over this. As soon as it becomes available it will ship ASAP!

Thanks for your patience.

Dan

Yerp! Dan is awesome!

My order is in the pot as well.

Maybe by next Friday at least one of us will have it installed!!! HA

On another subject, I finally broke the news to my wife last night at dinner...EEEK!

She didnt speak to me the rest of the night! She also swore she would never ride in the car again until the system is removed. Weird...huh!:o

Anywho, the best part happens after an argument...and right before you go to bed....if you know what I mean...HA! This morning she called before she went to work all happy...wonder why!

I thought you meant I'm awesome. :D

Yeah, gotta keep your wife happy. Otherwise, you won't have the luxury of enjoying your toys or playing golf.
And those little 'night talks' help a lot too ;)

Dan

This will be the first pea out of the dish. In fact, I may video some tid bits of the installation as well! Im trying to decide if I want to do it or if I should let my Exhaust guy do it. I did the Borla system on my Camry, my Tundra as well as my 4Runner and it was a breeze. Just used LOTS of WD40!!

If you have a lift, it's always fun to do it yourself.
I had a ramp on my company's garage, and used it to change out the one on my older S2000.
Did the Vette inside my garage with jackstands, boy was it a PITA.

Also, I prefer to use silicone spray for removing the bushings.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes! :)

Totally understand your excitement. :)
I'm sure all car guys would.

So, would it be safe to assume that we'll have a vid by Friday evening? :D

I would say by sometime Saturday.;)

I have a Canon Vixia HV70 (HD) and the only way I can transfer movies from the MiniDV is through Movie Maker on windows...which is SLLLLLLOOOOOWWW!

Does anybody have any suggestions on some video software...relatively cheap...or a better way to do it? (My intent with this question is not to change the topic...but to find an answer. If I need to start another thread due to overwhelming responses...I will) :)

I have a canon vixia hg21 and the software that came with the camera is complete garbage. I use avs4u. It works great and has a lot of options. You can download a trial which puts a small watermark in the middle of your vid for 30 seconds then goes away.

If the hard part is converting the files to a different format you can also use AVS Video Converter 6 which lets your convert all types of file formats. Its great. I have both... found them online.

Give that a try... if your good with torrents, you can find it for...

ps, for small quick videos I just found out that my girlfriends Canon digital camera shoots HD! Thats how I did my XM, DIS Inconsistencies videos. It automatically downloaded to my desktop as quicktime and uploaded to youtube in HD. A lot easier than using my HG21.

I have a Magnaflow Catback on my 3.8 sedan and DAMN is it loud! Everyone who rides in the car complains about the noise under 3000rpms. Personally I like that set up. Mix that with the sub in the trunk and no one can hear anyone else talk. Perfect. However, the price of the one now available is scary. I had mine made for $350 by a local muffler shop. Had it for a year now and the cat back sounds great while cruising but is VERY loud while under slow acceleration. If you don't like those booming exhaust systems this one is not for you.

Did they replace the mid-muffler with an x-pipe? If they didnt, Im sure you have a lot of drone issues.

But hey, if you like...who cares what other people think!!!

I assume you're saying your custom fabricated exhaust system produces a lot of drone noise.
That's the last thing I want in my car, period.
The V8 full catback system we're discussing here, however, is a full package offered by Magnaflow, so hopefully there aren't too much drone.
Looking forward to reading some reviews of this system.

Dan
