I am out of town starting Saturday for four days and I am not concerned about it beating me here.

My USB took 13 days for a 2 day delivery. I wonder if Genesis will complain to FedEx.

I waited 4 or 5 days to receive the SD card, it came from California. All updates went well, no hick-ups though, thank God, lol

So far so good here as well.

I downloaded it. Took about an hour, 90% of that time I was doing other things while waiting.

Had a long drive with the car this weekend. I'll say the USB is almost worthless. Anytime I have it in or even Android Auto I get a lot of issues with no sound and weird behavior. I have to force a hard reset to get anything.

Ugh. Maybe the next update will fix all this junk.

Just about any time I've had problems with USB in a car, it was the cable. The cable might work for other needs or devices, but not the car. Try a new one that's of high quality.

Cable is the same as it's always been. Even a dedicated thumb drive, that was stable before the update, is now useless.

Besides, the fact that the head unit plays no sounds but it's on cannot be an issue with the cable. It's like another sound priority grabs focus but never releases.

I installed the update, is it just me and my wife, because we both really dislike it. I like the previous version much better - previous version actually looks more up to date then the new version at least from how I use it which is mostly the radio and SXM.

No, there are a few of us who dislike it. My biggest beef is the preset stations that cannot be ordered to your preference and are ordered by channel number. So what used to take me two touches to switch from my favorite FM station to my favorite XM station now takes me 4 because that XM station preset is on the third page. Also, they only display the channel number and not the station ID as it did before. Also, there aren't as many presets as before. Nevermind the esthetics, the functionality is just shit-show and user-unfriendly.

My theory is that the re-design was done by either a disgruntled employee or a competitor spy implanted at Hyundai.

Spot on. And, you can't scroll back to the first grouping of stations until you go through all of them. Half tempted to go back the last version!

I'm really surprised that worked. Usually software updates only work in one direction.

Really? It worked? I've always heard you can't go back.

Oh, good if it works backwards. There a few things I don't like after updating to newer version. I'll do it tomorrow and report back.

Correct. I was able to insert and use "older" SD card with maps, but there's no way to run "update/downgrade", update button is grayed out.

I'm already impatiently waiting for the next update. Hope they revamp this again cause I'm not a big fan of the new look honestly. I wish it was more modern and sleek like the 2022 model.

I want to apologize for stating that you can install a previous map update. You cannot, I asked a buddy of mine to install the latest V15 which I thought he did but then after reading all the changes asked him to reinstall the previous version. He never installed the V15 which is why I still have the previous version...

Just updated. Works fine, but the design is hideous. I would expect such a novice design on a Yugo, not on a Genesis. This design had to be from some form of insider threat sabotage or something . I find it hard to believe that the same people who designed the layout for the new G/GV70/80, etc would do such a p*ss poor job on this. Genesis seriously needs to re-think their idea of what luxury looks like visually.
