  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

May be about to pull the trigger on a Red Genesis Coupe with the track package.

Hey everyone. I'm a big lurker over here and I test drove a 3.8l Genesis Coupe yesterday and I have to say, that was one of the most exciting drives I have ever had.

I'm heavily considering buying this car and the salesman wants 31,500 for the car. He showed me the invoice and it claims that they own the car for 31,115. This doesn't seem quite right to me. I live in Pensacola, FL. Zip is 32534. I am pretty sure that I can get him down lower and I've never seen a dealership that would show me the invoice. I want to make sure he isn't trying to pull one over me.

Would 31,500 be a good deal or can I get it cheaper? I want to make sure I'm paying about the same for my coupe as everyone else.

Thanks!

Jason

Well, you didn't tell us what options are on the car, but according to Truecar, they say that the 3.8 Track auto w/nav (the most expensive trim level) should go for an average price of $31,267. They show a factory invoice of $31,088 and a sticker of $32,750. This is for zip code 32534. Hope this helps!

Pat.

Actually, I guess I meant to say "which gearbox", not "which options", since the tranny is the only option available. It's about a $1500 difference I think.

Alright. I'm getting all of the options, including the automatic tranny. Looks like he made a fair offer. Thanks for the help!
