Any ideas or preferences where to meet? I'm 20 minutes north of Mpls.

Not my area, so all I can suggest is somewhere like one of the big parks (parking areas) near Brookdale center or any place in New Brighton or Coon Rapids where there's an Applebee's or Chili's or something, AND sufficient parking to all park together. Maybe that will be three cars! The last time I had to get a special visa to travel north of 394 was to go to La Casita on Central (best restaurant Mexican salsa worldwide). Ball in somebody else's court for August!

Saw this thread in an e-mail summary and thought I'd respond. Were I not halfway through a two-year expat assignment in Singapore (and the fact that I sold my Genesis), I'd be all over this. I hope to return next June and plan on buying a new Genesis first thing. In the meantime, back to insane S'pore traffic and my dismal little Toyota (that costs my employer US$20K/year to lease).

I tried - Shakopee was a no go. Ok, I get it. My last suggestion was northern burbs a few days ago, although inconvenient for me. Im out Of the country all of July, but August should be ok. Now it's in somebody else's court.

July can be a very busy month for many people, so August might work best. I'm up for anything. Only the last week in July would work for me I think.

Weekends only though.

I'd say August, but I can also do this weekend or even next weekend.

EDIT - How does August 3rd sound? 1st weekend in August. I'd say this is the date unless others' chime in stating otherwise.

Scott - why don't you work on a place. I love driving my Genny, so I'll fillerup and be there in August, with reasonable notice. Saturday is best.

August for sure. What about middle ground? St Louis Park? I work in the Park Place West building off 394 & 100. There is a huge lot and a Woodfire Grill right there or other options very nearby.

August 10 I think would work best for me, but if this date doesn't work out for others' then, I could figure out something else.

For the members planning on attending, I wonder where everyone is coming from?

I'll meet wherever, but it sounds like no one is coming from the East burbs anyway. I'm in the North suburbs, so Maple Grove would be more "middle ground" for me , for example it is about 18 miles from my place to Mt. Fuji and 3 Squares restraunt on all the fun back roads that go by Elm Creek Park.

As I mentioned though, I would meet anywhere

Where should we meet in Maple Grove? I've never done a meet before, so I have no idea what we are supposed to do, i.e. sit in parking lot and talk about our cars or go sit on a patio and talk about our cars so we are not loitering??

Someone chime in on an idea of where to meet and what we are supposed to do, Lol!
