  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Modifications done on Genesis 2015

Yes, automatic open of the sunroof should work in a similar way to the heated/cooled seats. The rear sunshade automation was also similar.

I also included 35% ceramic tint on all windows, except the windshield. I also tinted the windshield with an almost clear tint that reduces heat load and glare. All tinting is 100% legal in Texas.

I am thinking about HIDs too. So, the one you ordered, is it brighter than existinng one. and where did you buy those and how much you paid. Also i am instrested in Sill Plates. Just need feedback on those too.

I got my bulbs from the retrofit source and paid around $200.
The brightness is about the same. The reason I went with these bulbs is because when you go up in kelvin rating you loose brightness/lumen.
4300k factory bulbs are around 3200-3400 lumens.
Normal aftermarket HID bulbs around 6000k bulbs 2700-3000 lumens.

These OSRAM bulbs are supposed to have the same lumen rating as factory around 3400 lumen at 5500K and they match LED accent lights perfectly.

The salesman I worked with at Freeman Hyundai in Irving, TX, asked if I wanted him to remove the Hyundai logo plate from the trunk and replace it with a Genesis logo plate. He reached into his desk and pulled one out then handed it to me. I eagerly accepted his offer. Really good guy and nice thing for him to do especially in light of the fact that I didn't know such a thing was even possible until he asked.

Done:

1. Genesis Trunk Logo (My dealer puts them on all their cars before hitting the lot)
2. Hard-wired radar detector (Headliner/A-pillar method)
3. Tinted windows
4. JL Audio 10" Subwoofer and Memphis amp

Would like to do:

1. OEM Fog lamps
2. Korean Dual projector headlamps (will never happen @ $2,000)

I encourage someone to retrofit the soft close from Korea to the U.S. Version of the Genesis !!!

I tinted the car changed the rear H logo to the genesis logo 3.8 RWD

I removed the front license plate bracket today and debadged the rear. The dealer installed the rear wing badge on mine, but I'm starting to think they installed the older sedan badge. It doesn't look as long and flat as the front badge. I'm contemplating redoing it with the right badge. Are the wing badges just stuck on with adhesive or are there screws?

Just adhesive.

New to the forums, just got a 2015 Genesis 3.8 Ultimate. White/Beige.

I was wondering if people can post pics of these mods, if possible??

Also why dont we have a separate 2015 Genesis section for this forum??
