  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just purchased this vehicle. I have a 2010 Hyundai Genesis. I’ve notice two issues.

One, the key fob is recognized by the vehicle for the push to start but I have to hit it twice.

None of the buttons are responsive in anyway. Not the lock, unlock, alarm, or trunk.

I’ve tried “soft resetting” it by turning it in the door 10 times. (Does the door need to be open/close? Start with door locked/unlocked?)

I replaced the battery and made sure it was making contact on the inside of the key fob. The red light comes on whenever I press any of the buttons. Holding lock and unlock did not do anything.

Also, I’ve noticed whenever I get out of the car with the key and lock it the car has a long beep and the dash says key not inside

Also, whenever I get out of the car and manually lock the door the navigation/radio display stays on constantly. I have tried to reset everything back to factory. I’ve disconnected the battery for 30 minutes and retried. The volume/“start” button, whenever pressed it says AV off but the display just never turns off.

I know most cars the radio will continue until you open the door and get out, but this one just stays on. The display AND the sound.

Honestly, I’m at a loss. I’m a female with very little knowledge but I am trying to learn. This is the first push start vehicle I’ve owned. Thank you for the help in advanced!
