  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone, We were just going to shop to know which car to buy sometime this year, I am NOT a impulse buyer. My wife kept nagging me to look at the new Genesis, so after reading & seeing great reports on it, We went look & test drove one, then two days later went to another area where there are several dealers,Toyota, hyundai,Nissian.(PS we are coming out of a 2004 Maxima, was trying to wait for new one but.) We drove on the same roads the Avalon & then the Genesis, We both were in awh of how quite the Genesis was ,peppy 3.8, & remarkable smooth ride. Wel needles to say we bought the Signature package, (the ones we drove were Tech & ulitimate) When we drove our new Genesis home, same road etc, we both thought the ride seemed different?? I dont think theres any didfference for ride in the packages?? or could we not have something set up correctly in this space shuttle???
PS; I ordered a rear wing embelm

Congratulations and welcome. I wish I had an answer for you question on the ride but I don't. Does you car have nitrogen filled tires? I hear there is a more consistent ride even with temperature changes.

Start with the tires. I test drove mine right off the semi and it had 45psi.

After taking it down it was MUCH better.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new ride.

The 5.0 Ultimate has a different suspension system. Not sure if the 3.8 Ultimate does or not. As noted above, check your tire pressures. When they ship them over on the boat they over inflate them and sometimes the dealers forget to remove the extra air out of them.

Also there has been issues with flat spots for the first few miles but will dissipate as you drive. The tires, after setting overnight (some reported after just a few hours) will get flat spots (design issue with tire, not Hyundai). You will feel a slightly rougher ride at first but it will improve as you drive.

Hope this helps...

I took them down to 34psi. Door say 33psi cold.

Only the V8 has a different suspension, nothing different between the trims. The V6 comes with 18" and the V8 19". pressure on the V6 is 33psi whereas it is 35psi on the V8.

That's right, and the manual says that you can add up to 3 Psi when you are expecting temperature to drop. In this case , it's winter so , I hope you did not put exactly 33.;)

Same with me, 40+ psi and my tpms kept coming on. Finally lowered it to 33 and ride was great, but tpms still randomly comes on with all tires being fine.
