New 4.6, interior trim question

Hey guys,

I'm picking up my Titanium Metallic 4.6 w/ Tech package today. I was at another dealer last week and I could have sworn that they had a 4.6 w/ all black interior w/ the mahogany trim pieces. I know it was the all black w/ mahogany, but don't remember if it was the 4.6. I really like that combination and wanted the 4.6. I'm in Phoenix and there was only 1 Titanium Metallic w/ black interior in the state and I got it. They had to do a dealer swap, but the trim pieces are the cherry color. The sales manager said he'd swap out the trim peices, but I'll have to take the car back to do that.

Does anyone know if that is indeed a color combination that's available for the 4.6? All black interior w/ the mahogany trim?

yes, it is but very hard to order as those particular trim colors were late releases, so their coming in only on random vehicles. easiest way would be to order them and have them put on.

I took delivery last week - Saphire Blue 4.6 with tech - and all the leather is black with the Mahogany trim. At first I was disappointed because I thought I was getting the black seats with brown (camel?) leather wrap around the dash and on the doors, but the more I look at it the more I'm liking all black. I figure it won't show scuff marks as easily. I didn't even know all black existed until I picked up the car.

Hey i have a 4.6 blue pearl genesis with blk leather interior with the brown leather on my dash & door panels, my question is does those brown leather pieces on my dash & door panels come in the mahgoney wood grain that surrounds my gear shift knob and thats on my steering wheel because if so i would like to know where & how can i get those pieces and replace my brown leather pieces that doesnt match anything, thanks in advance for any assistance

I took delivery of a Platinum/Black 4.6/Tech on Jan. 16th and have what appears to be mahogany door control panels, center console and dash panel surrounding the disc player. Is that what you mean by trim pieces? (Click on the thumbnails.) If so, and if these were recent changes, what color or material did they replace? If not, what trim pieces are you referring to?

no the pieces on the door is up around the interior door lever to open the door & the dash piece is up around the screen going across from the driver side all the way to the passenger side

I've got the EXACT same car, and I LOVE IT! I didn't really think about mahogany vs cherry, but someone else posted the pics of theirs, and that's what mine looks like.

People love the titanium/black combo (so I've been told a bunch of times). I am in the process of adding the badges now 9just got them). Put the 18" 4.6L wheel caps on, and they really make a difference!

THANKS MOOSE66 yes thats what i was talking about but that is a 3m applied setup, not interested in that i am looking to see if Hyundai has the actual pieces to replace the leather pieces on my car as that kit has 20 pieces im not looking to replace all those pieces with stick on wood pieces but i'll keep searching thanks again

Those are the trim pieces that I was referring to. It looks like those trim pieces are "cherry" in color, and that's what I have now. The dealer says they're gonna swap them out w/ mahogany, but we'll see.

i talked to JOSH at hyundaiaccessorystore.com & thats just for the pieces, everything installed on my car i did/do myself , but i can tell u one thing i kind of made up my mind that those wood pieces will be on my car shortly , josh is just trying to find out for me how long will it take to order & recieve these pieces he sent me pics of them on a genesis & im loving it dont know why they werent on the 4.6 w/tech package model but they will be on mine

i also got a detailed bill with part #'s for all the parts ( 4 door panels & 2 piece dash panel) with the total price $1215, so now im trying to find out if anyone else has these parts at a lesser price b4 i commit

I share the same interest in replacing the brown leather dash and door inserts with real wood trim. I am curious about the trim kit listed on ebay (item 120363268428). I will try to attach a photo of this kit.

The photos show pieces for the leather dash and door inserts but the parts diagram indicates that they are not included with the kit. The manufacturer of the kit is Sherwood Innovations but their website does not indicate any kit for Genesis let alone the pieces in question. The website does state that they provide wood trim for several auto makers including Hyundai. I am wondering if the parts that Hyundai accessories is offering for $1200 come from this vendor and if they are available through distributors other than Hyundai? Just a thought.

be careful what you order because i believe sherwood is the company with the 3m stick on wood pieces, im not going that route. Im looking stricky for replacement pieces
