Hi folks,
I just picked up my new 2013 3.8 Premium. So far, I LOVE this car. It's a huge upgrade from my 2007 Elantra base model SE
My colleagues, customers, and family have all be really impressed with it too.
One thing I have noticed, however, is that when I floor the gas pedal it kind of sticks on the way down (thankfully not on the way up, at least not yet!). As you get to about 80% of the way to the floor it's kind of like it hits a notch or sticky stopping point before going all the way down. If you stomp the pedal hard it goes all the way down from any position, no problem, but if you gradually increase the pressure of your foot you definitely hit this stopping point, requiring a little more push to get past it to the floor.
So my questions: Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a "feature" that I haven't read about in the manual yet, or is something wrong? Has anyone fixed this themselves (I'm tempted to WD-40 it, but I likely won't try that unless folks swear by it)? Has anyone had to take it to the dealer for a fix?
Thanks!!
