New Map v13.0 update available

After finally having my VIN number recognized tried to find and update for my G70. It came up with no updates. Checking the existing version showed it to be 11.5. So contacted the help dept of the Map site for Genesis and was told that they were having a problem with the latest release. They said there was a bug in the software that needed to be addressed and would let me know when it was ready.

It does and I'll give it a try.

Last night we were going to a restaurant about 18 miles from us. I knew roughly where it was but not exactly. I used the button and asked for Macallister's Restaurant. It brought up places that were 30, 40, 80 miles away. Using the manual POI search, it is listed as Macallister's Grill & Tavern.

Me too! Thanks for letting us know it was available again... How do I eject the SD card? I see there is a thin slot but I am unsure if I insert a screwdriver to lift or something else... I checked the manuals but could not find anything on how to remove the SD card.

Usually you just push in on it and it releases and comes out enough to grab.

Just grab the external plastic cover thru the slot with your fingernails and pull it, then just push down the SD card.

I was able to lift off the SD card button by pulling from the bottom up. I was not sure how to remove the outer button and did not want to break anything. Thanks!

When we travel we stay at Hyatt hotels. If I ask it to find hyatt hotels in a certain city, it only lists part of them, not the Hyatt places or Hyatt Regency. So I only say Hyatt and city name, then they all come up.
G90 uses the dial for input in a search ( not like the G80) with touch screen. Everyone thinks G90 doesn't have a touch screen, But if we go to free text search it does have a touch screen, not as nice as the G80

Yes but can’t imagine anyone ever wanting to do that instead of just using the google search button on the mirror.

Just to let you know that the new map v13.0 from MapNSoft is available. Was anounced since early April but not available until this weekend, I ordered mine and received the SD card today, installed on my G70 in around 25 minutes. Lets see what improvements has over v12.5.

G70 is a very new model. Can't imagine a GPS map up date, would make much difference at this point. That's why I use WAZE never have to worry about being up to date.

I’ve recently updated my G70 and Santa Fe to map version 13 and would like to know if anybody has used or is familiar with the option of backing up your address list from the nav system to USB to use for restoration later. I’d like to be able to back up my list on the Santa Fe to restore to the G70.

As far as I know, there is no such functionality.

When I first got the car, I was going though all the menus as I usually do and when I got to a point in the setup for the nav system I noticed an option called “Restore list from USB”. Of course, that was with the original version and I haven’t gone though the updated version but I thought it might be a useful option for me as my list in the Santa Fe is extensive. Apparently so far, I’m the only one to have seen it. I haven’t been able to find any reference to it in the manuals. The car came with version 11.5.

Yes it was in 11.5 anyway.
