  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Nice day, shot some pics of the R-Spec.

Got the car back from having the windows tinted, and I installed the rear spoiler. It was a nice fall day so I snapped a couple pictures. Man I love this car. :D

Your car looks great. I'm thinking of getting mine tinted. Perhaps I should take a few Fall shots as well.

Stunning! You have a great eye for perspective in your camera shots, the lighting, the fall colors, oh and did I mention your smokin hot ride! Thanks for taking your time to share with us all.

Great shots. They look like they should be in a brochure. I would also be curious where you bought the spoiler lip from.

Thanks much. I live in a very beautiful cul-de-sac so it's hard to get bad shots :)

The lip spoiler came from CARID. Saw it on some posts here which is how I found it. I give them a *cautious* thumbs up. Customer Service was great in dealing with the issue, but the first spoiler arrived very poorly painted. The second one was painted much better, but doesn't have the correct metalic tinting in the clear-coat as my car. It's not different enough to be a mis-match, and you really have to be up-close to tell. My advice would be to order the spoiler unpainted and have it done locally where you can insure a correct color match.

I have a post a few years old where I bought my spoiler from the same place, but the name at the time was Woodview.com. My spoiler came in great condition with a great paint match for my black Genesis. I did get an estimate at a paint shop if I was to order the spoiler non-painted, but the spoiler would have costed much more, so for me it wasn't worth it, and I'm completly satisfied.

Thanks for the spoiler info.

Great looking R-Spec

menacing look. great job.

I believe the R-spec black is different then the other paints.

They sent me 2 different spoilers, both with the same paint code, and neither are a correct match.

May not be an issue for other factory codes, but I can say for 100% certain that they will not match the R-spec.

That said - it's not the end of the world.

Thanks again for the heads up. My R-Spec is black too.

What's your paint code in your drivers door jam?

Paint Code is AF

Which (according to them) is Phantom Black Pearl OR Black Noir.

However, my car has a metallic tint coat. The black is not pearl, but there is a subtle metallic flake in the clear coat which they did not match.

Weird that they couldn't provide a match. My paint code is the same as yours and it matches very well.

I noticed that their paint code lookup only includes 2009 and 2010 models. Will call them tomorrow to verify that Titanium Gray Metallic is available.

OMG
we all have amazing taste, don't we?

That looks so nice. Makes me want to get one now. Trying to wait for a black on black 2012 3.8 fully loaded to come down around 30k-32k used

Installed the black spoiler I got from CARID. Nicely painted but, like yours, missing the metallic in the clear. More than livable. Again, thanks for the info.
