If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Official 0-60 & 1/4 mile thread

Well if it is these are the cars that use the same brake lamp switch so possible donor for the wiring connectors and could use the switch and dissemble and use the connector only to build the lead.

So I know this reply is too late, but I figured I'd still show what I found.

Solid dark green wire on the brake pedal harness plug...

Found a similar dark green wire in the ECU harness plug....

And this may be the same wire further down the harness leading into the firewall...

Anyway, long story short, I think you're right @FastEddie , I bet the brake snip wire is that green one on the brake pedal harness plug. I'm considering going to my nearest junkyard for a donor plug to make a custom harness; but, I really have no idea where I'd find a suitable female connector. Maybe the female end attached to the brake pedal assembly is able to be disassembled...

So, looking at the lists of other cars that use the same switch, I'm unable to find a nearby junkyard that has a compatible donor, not finding anything newer than 2009...

Here is a list I found of cars that use the exact same plug/switch.

I am sure there are other harness plugs that will fit, but I have no idea where to start looking. I really think it's possible to fabricate an extension harness complete with a switch, which results in a brake snip without having to cut any wires. I'd just have to figure out where to source the connectors.

Attached is a diagram of the brake switch, along with the price for a new one.

Well I’ll say the brake snip is def starting to help me. Just a couple tries and got a good chunk of improvement. Hopefully a full burn out and prepped surface will help improve this

Well, I found how to get the connectors, but it ain't cheap. Haha.

And the cost of ONE female plug is $120. And the male counterpart, $125!!! FOR ONE PLUG!!! Haha. Ridiculous!! If I could find them for even like $10 a piece, I'd totally be down to make some extensions complete with a switch and sell them. But at this price, nope. Haha. Not worth it to me!

^ OMG...why so much?!?! Any way to find cheaper replicas?

They don’t look much different than the fuel wire plugs. Meaning...no embedded electronics...just a f’ing plug :(

That is freaking insane. But this would be a real game changer if it could happen. But it looks like a complete adapter would be in the 300$ range

Almost as fast as I am in my G80 sport....almost, lol

lol it would be my luck sea level would get me more power then id just spin haha
A couple drag radials would fix that right up. Unfortunately not really a daily thing. How do other big power rwd cars put that power down? Go wider? You can’t really go stickier for a street driven car
