  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Official 0-60 & 1/4 mile thread

Pretty much about the same. Roughly 1° here and there.

When testing the limits I ran into losing as much as 6° in just one cylinder after shifts. Terry @ BMS told me it was okay and safe....but that's way too much in my opinion.

On MAP 0 I even see the 0.8's, even 3's, 4's, 5's, 6's at zero boost and even at 0mph. I've been running the 0.022" gapped Denso 5346 IKH24 "1 Step" spark plugs I suppose for around 8,000miles. I'm not even to 10,000 miles on the car yet.

How are folks resetting their ECU's? Just pulling negative terminal off batter for 10min and tapping the brake peddle once or twice?

Yup, just disconnect the negative terminal for a bit. Feel free to shoot me some of your logs if you want!

Mighty impressive Todd! I guess the larger intercooler and the WMI got your time down from an already impressive time of 3.9.
The quarter mile or 0-100 time would be interesting, but understandably harder to test/measure safely.

Yeah, those are things I'd only test at the track. But, probably not gonna happen any time soon!

Should be getting my car back Sunday from it getting ceramic coated.

Also going to be ordering AEM intakes and the AP FMIC. I figure that and some mild axle-back exhaust fab should help with weight cutting and keeping the car in a "very easy to return to stock" state. But should hopefully gain some MPH and maybe a few tenths. I'd be super happy with a flat 12 but not sure if that'll be possible.

My 12.4 time was stock everything except for JB4 on map 2 running 93.

In other news, definitely won't be catching my friends GTI. Just got in slicks and setting 11.6 runs all day in the Florida heat/humidity. If I'm not mistaken, that would probably give pretty much all the top-tier 3.3s a run for their money.

Depending on what your DA is 12.0 should be very reasonable. I ran my 12.09 with intakes fmic midpipes and a cat back. At 5000 da. Given a 0 da that should have been a 11.7ish I would guesstimate. A better da make a lot more power up top. Although it probably won’t feel like it. Good luck tho hopefully you can hit that goal. As for returning to stock. I just removed intakes fmic tune and wmi in about 2 hours or so. It needed to go in to the dealer for more than an oil change so.... keep up posted and chase down that gti. If you can’t get him after these mods get meth 😂😂

Tork Stage 2

I definitely plan on getting this as fast as possible. My goal is around 119-120 trap without meth as I've seen that's possible. (FMIC, intakes, secondary downpipes, exhaust, possibly some lighter bronze wheels)

After my lease is up I plan on going for something less practical as I've picked up an old ls430 as a roadtrip machine. I'm thinking a TTRS as they're easy to make speed out of, perhaps a used GTR, or perhaps a Vette (depending on what the C8 Z06 is like and the market of them in late 2022). The RS was where I was mainly focused as a lot of the folks I know are super familiat with the MQB platform, but I have to say the road presence of those C8s is astonishing.

But, we'll see when we get there. I love the look of the G70. The black/bronze motif fits in with a lot of stuff I have and I'm partial to it. If the platform continues to expand with aftermarket options, and if depreciation doesn't hit like a truck leaving the buyout being more than it's worth, I may keep her after it's up as I really do love the car (aside from the sunroof rattle 🥴)

Ttrs or rs3 is the way to go. For like 5000$ you can beat almost any car on the street from a dig or roll. And that’s still stock turbo and stock clutch. Making like 650whp Or do the full blown ims 1100s and then the only cars you can’t beat are in the 1700+ hp range. And that’s still stock trans but only has an upgraded clutch pack

edit- I actually watched a 650hp rs3 take down a demon from a dig and a roll. They are stupid fast when iroz gets ahold of them

Definitely so. We have a few RS3s here. One lightly modified, not Hellcat fast, I think hybrid turbo GTI can get him on 93 currently.

The other one is stock block and stock turbo but pretty much FBO. Wrapped in the M4 CS yellow/gold with a FakeTaxi logo and it takes on pretty much anything not in the 900+ range.

TTRS is lighter and without the sunroof, spend a decent but not crazy chunk of change getting a TTE700 and having IROZ build it out and I'd be happy with a 9 second daily.

I did just see a C6Z06 with nearly everything that can be done to one go up for sale for 25k. 1000whp mid/high 8 second car. I don't think I'd mind one of those, but I like the unexpected sleepiness (and rarity) of the TTRS.

I'll definitely be happy with the G70 getting kitted out a bit and at least going for Snack Pack chargers and E85 mustangs.

I saw that z06 your talking about. If I remember the 1006 dyno sheet is the old number and said only the buyer will get the current power number. Thing was super clean for sure that’s a high 8s car for sure

One of my former colleagues picked up a rwd Red Sport 400 and said he ran a 3.14 0-100 km/h with just ldp and cbe. I think he's using an ecutek device to capture the time... Not sure how accurate that is.

That would be ~3 seconds to 60. The car stock does it in 4.5 seconds stock. Sorry...I just cannot believe that.

Had a couple fun pulls this evening. Stock 87 Octane. 1/2 tank of fuel.

Wow Maybe I should stop wasting my money on premium?? That's all I've put in mine so far. You have me wondering

I drove my G80 3.8 AWD off a cliff and did 0-60mph (88 ft per second) in 2.73 seconds.

That's pretty impressive with bald tires, 87 octane, and shifting into neutral with my foot firmly on the brake.
