  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Official 0-60 & 1/4 mile thread

I drove my G80 3.8 AWD off a cliff and did 0-60mph (88 ft per second) in 2.73 seconds.

That's pretty impressive with bald tires, 87 octane, and shifting into neutral with my foot firmly on the brake.
Yeah, funny. Point of that post was...?

Wow Maybe I should stop wasting my money on premium?? That's all I've put in mine so far. You have me wondering
Yeah, right? Seriously, does this guy have an 87 tune, or is stock? I would save a ton of money if I used 87.

Look at his DA. Dont expect to mirror his performance unless you are around the same.

Yeah, the DA and temp are pretty ideal. I would say you could get close with a 1/4 tank and ambient temp under 70.. I found holding the e-brake, quick boost build and let go really works well. Pulling 1G with LC isn't possible.

The density of air as it relates to your height above sea level is very important too, even cold days I’m screwed here in Vegas at 2k feet. Launches are softer than when I took my car on a road trip to LA. Although I do take solace in knowing that I’m doing better than the NA guys here

Is it a big difference? What kind of times do you run 0-60 and 1/4 mile?

On a cool dense morning last week I got 0-60 4.76 with a 2020 G80 Sport, no tune, 93 fuel.

Check it out. Someone in Korea beat my time! Very nice!

Great to hear from you Todd! That certainly is an impressive time. I wonder what his mods are?
What are you driving these days? (Sorry if you already told us, Mr short term memory here, lol)

I saw that time last week! I wonder if he's just using JB4 or if "Code" is an ecu tune as well? Code makes his exhaust stuff too. Wonder how he's launching?

I'm driving a car that is MUCH slower than my old G70, or any G70 for that matter. Lol. Hoping to get the next generation RS3 once it comes out.

Haha, that RS3 would be nice!

Really looks like he's hitting full power right off the bat. He's gotta be running a brake snip!

Yeah! 12.78 ain't no slouch!
