  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Elmer, help a brother out, man! You got to let me know when you get the inside line on info like that! :)

Anyway, I like those odds, if the pricing is right. The 3.8 Track model is basically a G37 Coupe Sport minus 200lbs and with $7400 left in your pocket for mods. Sounds good to me.

These are not official and just based on those Canada prices. It is not USA dealer press info.
The official pricing is coming out next wed 2/11 at the Chicago auto show. How do I know ? I picked up the phone and called Hyundai USA directly

Sign me up if those prices are close to being correct. I will expect the price to rise somewhat when the auto 6 speed and NAV becomes available.

This car by the way is large enough for a V8 ;). This would be a grand slam if Hyundai does so. Image a turbo 4, 6, and a 8:D

Am I reading it right? LSD only with Track package? Is there away to just get that or you ned the whole package?

That's got me bumming too ... I don't really want the Track version since the car would be a year-round daily driver ... but YES I MUST HAVE a Limited Slip Differential !!

My 150HP 1998 V6 Mustang (3.8L 5-Speed / 2.73:1 rear) was so embarassing with it's one-wheel-peel that I had to add a Ford Traction-Lok Differential to it after a year of driving ... getting whipped by a 3.8L 4-Door Grand Am was the last straw. When I got my current 2004 V6 Mustang (193 HP 3.9L 5-Speed / 3.27:1 rear), one-wheel-peel was so bad that I put a Traction-Lok in it before 100 miles.

The fact that Limited Slip is not STANDARD on (at least the 300+HP V6) Genesis Coupe has me scratching my head !!

Do they really think that "one" 245mm wide tire is good enough for the power output of these 2 engines ?? The argument will be that the car has "Traction Control" which will limit wheel spin !! Same argument Ford uses for not even making LSD optional on the current 210HP V6 Mustang.

Limited Slip in a 300+ HP FWD car is not as critical, but in RWD it is mandatory in my book.

If I buy a Genesis Coupe w/o Track package, an over-the-counter limited slip differential will be the 1st mod.
