For those of you who DIY oil changes and using the MityVac canister.
Mityvac makes 2 different units, one with a pump and one that uses an air compressor. I have an air compressor and am trying to figure out which unit would be best, given that the price is about the same. It seems so much easier and not have to drop the access panels. The oil filter can be reached from the engine compartment.
Feel free to explain the pros and cons of each unit. I want to be prepared with all the necessary equipment I need.
The dealer includes 4 oil changes in 2 years but it's conventional oil. For an additional $25 they said they would put in synthetic oil. I'm tempted to let the dealer do it but I don't trust them to do the job correctly because I'm a stickler for detail. I won't even mention replacing all the screws and push pins on the access panels.
