You mean 1/3 of 7+ quarts (or 2 quarts) or 1/3 of the way to the "add oil" mark??

No I didn't check post-service. But seriously, who thinks they need to?
If that is what indeed happened (5 quarts instead of 7) then I can accept that oil consumpion, which would mean it consumed a quart for 4500 miles. I will probably never know unless they record what they put in it, and then of course admit to it.
If they indeed filled it correctly (doubting that) then I can't accept that... that would be 3 quarts in 4500 miles!
I am most upset that the low oil indicator never came on. That is wrong and needs fixing. Had it worked this whole dilemma never happens.

I checkd mine last night after doing my own oil change and driving it for about 2k miles. It's used about 1 1/2 Qt's.
My '04 Chevy truck with 75K miles dosen't even use a Qt in 5k miles.
