  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Performance enhance for the 3.8 Genesis

Okay, let me see if I can help you out. I've uploaded a couple of pics that I just took with my phone so hopefully they are clear enough. You should have received a long bracket that is 2 pieces held together with a bolt and nut. The shorter piece has a 90 degree L-shaped bend on it. I received a couple of different brackets with mine but this is the one you want to use.

Here's the pics:

If you look down on the chassis to the left of the intake you should see a small L-shaped looking bracket with 2 screws already on the car. You remove the screw closest to the front of the car and then use it to attach the long end of the new bracket. Then you take the shorter bracket piece with the bend and insert it behind the coupler. Then tighten the screw, the bolt and the coupler.

I don't think that it does too much as my intake can still move a bit if I shake it. In fact, the couplers, particularly the one connected to the throttle body seems to move quite a bit to me. It may be the material that it's made of. It seems worse as it heats up.

I don't even know for sure if this the correct installation of the bracket but from what I could see on their image, it seems to be.

Anyway, glad you like it and hopefully the instructions will help out.

thanks so much. ill give it a try. and yes the couplers do seem a tad flimsy especially at the throttle body but i suspect its because the weight of the entire intake. and sorry to whoever started this thread for adding like 2 or 3 pages to it. kinda got carried away
