If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello All,

I am excited that I am picking up my new Casablanca white 2014 Genesis Rspec Sedan on Thursday! I have admired the car for some time, but never came across the right deal when I was car shopping.

Picking it up for $35k OTD, and trading in my 2014 Q50s. The infiniti has been a lot of fun, but with two kids now, I just needed a bigger cabin, and a lot bigger trunk!

Anyways, I am excited to be part of the community, and I am in to help get a performance company to start making some goodies for us! Selling them on being the ONLY one to offer a CAI, or Springs sounds like it should be enough to get some R&D moving!

Thanks in advance for all of your collective wisdom in these threads!

Very good price for a new 14 RSPEC.
If you are going to keep it for a long time, buy an extended warranty. Nav and radio are only covered for 3 yr 36,000 miles, and they are very expensive.
I prefer the looks of the 12,13,14 over the 15 model. (even though the 15 has more tech)

Thanks Bill, it took 2 months of me wearing them down to get there! I will definitely think about the Nav thing, so that wouldn't be part of the 5yr/60k bumper to bumper?

Very excited to get into the new ride on Thursday! Only has 6 miles on it!

Congrats and :welcome: to the club ;)

Nope. Radio and Nav is covered for 3 years.
Bumper to bumper is 5 years
engine and trans 10 years.

Nav and radio are crazy expensive.
I'm covered for everything for 10 years. Even bulbs....with zero deductible.

Congrats and welcome. Make sure to drive it like you stole it .... after break in of course :D

:welcome:

Welcome! Remember that burying the right pedal at least once every day will be good for you and the car! :D

Congrats!! Now go hunting for empty Freeway onramps..

Thanks guys! I am sooo stoked to take the day off work tomorrow, and make the two hour drive to pick it up! Already got a call this morning that she has been completely de-badged, washed, waxed, and she is heading to the tint shop for some additional pampering!

Now to try to sell one of the big intake companies (AEM,Injen, K&N) that it is a smart/profitable position to be in as the ONLY provider of a CAI in a market. I need to hear this thing talk back!

Is it tomorrow yet? :)

How much is the extended warranty and how much is the Nav and Radio? - IOW what are you actually insuring for?

I've seen figures over $3000 for radio, amp, and Nav.

Extended warranties can be had for $1500 to $2000. You can do a search here for exact figures.

I have an insurance company (Nationwide) nanny plugged in to my OBDII port, which records every move I make and reports it to the ins co weekly. After 6 months of "safe driving" I get a 30% discount on my insurance premium for life. "Safe driving" is defined as driving less than 8,000 miles/year (projected) and fewer than some small number of "hard accelerations" (accelerating faster than 7.7 mph per second) and "hard braking" (slowing harder than 7.7 mph per second). This is not that hard to achieve as long as you drive pretty conservatively. 30% is a significant savings, and at least some of us retired guys need to save where we can.

Picked her up today, trying to get some pics!

No way I could keep to that ... 0-60 in 8+ seconds?! :D

But for when my early teen comes of age, I could see it quite useful.

Here she is! Sorry about the picture quality, they are from my phone! Glamour shots and a new thread to come!
