  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Pics of my G70

Adriatic Blue Sport in Phoenix's bright sunlight. This is with a layer of dust on the surface too. Can't wait to get it detailed this weekend.

nice shot. more once detailed!

i thought hard about the AB colour instead of MB. AB was just a touch too dark for my taste. and there was no sample vehicles around to look at in person so i couldn't take a chance without seeing it first. i'd seen MB so i knew what i was getting into. coming from a blue slate G37 i wanted more of a change as well...

Definitely I'll get more pictures after detailing! This is the only one I've taken so far because it feels like wasted potential taking pictures now when it could look so much better.

For AB vs MB, my thought is that you really know what you're getting with the MB. It's a saturated blue with blue flakes, and no matter what it'll reliably look like a strong blue. On the other hand, AB has higher highs and lower lows based on sunlight, dust, angle, viewing distance, time of day, etc.

Factors that convinced me on the AB were 1) Phoenix has a ton of sunlight that's super bright to maintain those highs, 2) the look of the vehicle is for me to enjoy and the good parts come out when close by, 3) a dark blue looks more luxurious, and 4) there's a lot of red light in Phoenix that gives MB a purple tint which isn't my preference.

That isn't to say MB isn't a great color because it's amazing, but AB just felt like a better option for my situation :).

That does look awesome. It's what I like about my Black Forest Green, it changes a good bit with the lighting.
So many great G70 colors. If my dealer had had a good inventory, I would have had a real tough time deciding. As it was, my Design Edition was the only 3.3T they had, and I was trying to deal locally.

^ agreed. Genesis set up a great palette for the G70. numerous interesting and character-filled colour choices, and i like the high take rate with buyers. i see more red, blue, ice, green G70's than other competitors.

the fact that i had two excellent blues to choose from was a treat. and that ice colour is cool. the red is awesome - i'm just not that bold. i got pulled over today for the first time in a long time (got off with no ticket), but i'm sure a red car would attract more attention.

Love my Havana Red - really comes alive in the sun but creates multiple shades depending on time of day. The red would not have been my first choice (got mine used) but now that I have it I’m more than happy. The metallic in all the G70s is beautiful.

I understand the stigma associated with a red car. It’s almost like an involuntary visual cue. That’s why many say that it creates more awareness on the road especially to undesirable entities. I weighed those concerns logically but after seeing all the colors in “person” (except for the green) I was hooked HR was it. Logic only goes so far emotion had the last say.

Here's my "I just joined the club" picture...

Yup, Alexandria Genesis. In this photo they still haven't taken the plates off my 335...
Oh wow...what a f'ing dump...LOL. I bought my car from there...but they delivered it to me in Richmond :) I never set foot into a dealership.

I get mine back from having the ceramic done tomorrow, i'm super excited if the weather holds ill take some pics.

First snow day!!!! We’ve had some snow but no accumulation on the roads until today. Acquitted itself well. The awd and traction control work seamlessly together. When I get some time I’ll turn off traction and see if I can have some fun.View attachment 24505
Just picked up a G70 AWD 3.3TT. Thinking about how this thing is going to handle during the Indiana winters on the snow. What's your experience been in the snow?

Thanks.

Very good.

It was really good. I have previously driven BMW's with xDrive and it feels very similar. The all season tires on my 18s seem okay. It would be much better with snows but I don't plan on getting them.

Your response made me feel a little better. Thank you. Most of the responses recommended snow tires. Where do you live? What mode do you drive in when in snow?
